I crochet toys and have used a lot of eyes over the last several months. This brand is clear with a black pupil, and you can use sparkly colorful iris cutouts. The irises don't appear to be made of paper, exactly, but I don't know what the material is. I tried to take a picture of it so you can see. The manufacturer recommends against washing the eyes, though you could probably carefully spot clean the toy around the eyes if needed.I am quite picky about safety eye backings. Most brands are cheap and small so that the eye could pop through a crocheted toy. I chose these because the backings are more substantial and seem to clamp onto more surface area of the yarn, making them less likely to dislodge. If you can zoom in on the picture with the backings, you'll see what I mean.So far I've had no issues with quality, and will try to update my review if something comes up.

I like the quality of the eyes but I feel for my project it’s difficult to see the eyes due to the yarn being to thick and the irises are to large. It takes up too much space. To see the colors. But I do like them. Just not for thick yard ( bulky) or fluffy flux fabrics.

The safety eyes are very nice and perfect for my daughter's crochet projects. There is a lot of eyes in the packet for the money. Definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys crocheting plushies!

Eyes are all clear with colored backs you apply yourself. All components came separated in small bags. They have been easy to assemble and snapped together fairly easy. Items are as described.

They look very nice on the stuffed animals. Easy to assemble and are tight so that they won't come off.

I didn't realize the glitter part of the eye is a fabric-y glitter circle. The set comes in one flat box mixed up. I counted 61-15mm eyes, 61 white fasteners. Of the eight colors, I only got 9 of blue. The rest I got 10 of fuchsia, light pink, silver, gold, purple, green, brown. Some of the eyes still had a protective piece of cellophane, most came off in the box.

I was very disappointed because the circle colors were with on, like the copper which I needed and the others were all white with one set of gold and alot of white. I'm crocheting stuff animals. It need the right colors.
