Quick Install
Worth the money to get things moving again. I watched a YouTube video by finding my serial number. All in, took me about 15 minutes to install. Ice quality is good but true to this model, it still wants to give crushed and cubed on the cubed setting.

Ice maker is working well.
The new ice maker came with a 12 pin connector that had 10 wires. The old ice maker had a 10 pin connector with 10 wires. The new plug would not fit the old receptacle. I had to splice the old plug into the new machine. It is working fine.

It Worked!
I do handy work around the house but I'm clumsy at it. I was nervous about breaking the fridge putting this in, but it turned out to be very simple. And it started working right away, and we've had no problems for the last month or so. If you are reading this you probably have the same problem we did...the dumb ice maker just quits and resetting it does nothing. Changing other settings and temp does nothing. Blow drying it got me 2 cubes then nothing. Finally we decided to try replacing it and figured this unit was at least half the price of a repair person. I'm glad we did.If you are having the same issue this will most like fix it and it is easy to do.

breaks after a few weeks and company will not return emails
This ice maker is an exact replacement for my fridge. Installation was easy and it worked great for three weeks. Then, one morning it just stopped working. I went online and it said to email the company. I have emailed them three different times and never got a single response. There was no phone number listed to call. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY - they do not honor their products or respond to emails.
