Since I am allergic to nuts, this is a very good substitute for peanut butter for me. It doesn't taste quite like the real thing but it is a very good substitute.

My partner and I met online and I found out pretty early they have a peanut allergy. I love peanuts (peanut butter was my favorite growing up. Boiled peanuts at baseball games). For years I would randomly try a peanut butter substitute just to see what's available. THIS IS FINALLY FOUND THE ONE THAT WORKS. We reviewed for hours double checking there was no peanuts in this before i got it. And yet they still were like "wow that smells just like peanut butter". Taste wise it's been several years since i had peanut butter but this matches the flavor in my head. It's a little thin when spreading it but texture wise it's similar to when you have like warm peanut butter. A little harder to spread than a JIF peanut butter. Once you bite in you're good but spreading it was a bit different.I missed peanut butter so much thank you for giving me back my "I don't know what i want to eat" food. Veryyyy strong sunflower taste. Can be a bit thicker than normal peanut butter, but my sons seems to love it.

I was diagnosed with a severe peanut allergy over thirty years ago. What makes it bad is I live in Southeast Alabama, which is a hub for peanut growing. I often joke I love my home, I'm just allergic to it.What is worse is I love peanuts and peanut butter. My favorite candy are Reese's Cups. For the past thirty-plus years I have craved a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and have searched for some sort of substitute. Most taste like shortening (or axle grease - not that I've ever eaten axle grease) or are soy based - another severe allergy.Every so often I go on a search for a peanut butter substitute; recently I found this from Voyage Foods. I checked the ingredients, no warning lights, so I decided to try it. It's great!Finally, a "safe" product that tastes great! I had my first "peanut butter" sandwich in over thirty years last month. It's amazing how you learn to appreciate the simple things in life.My wife has told me she's trying to figure out how to make some "Reese's cups" for me for Christmas or Easter... what a "keeper!"

Update*** ordered like six jars of this once it was back in stock. The quality has drastically changed that the sun butter is not smooth, at all. The sun butter is very hard to mix now and because it’s so dry you have to chew the sun butter. Isn’t as bad if you’re cooking with it but don’t buy if you enjoy having a spoonful of sun butter as a snack because it’s not scoopable. Still cheapest option but not really since it’s not all the edible. Stored two jars upside down since last month to distribute the oils. While it did make a layer of spreadable soft sun butter, the rest was chewableLove that they don’t take advantage of their customers and charge an allergy tax on peanut alternatives. Other brands are not accesible due to being almost double the price of voyager for the same size. I like to eat this sun butter by itself because it tastes that good. Will buy again and again once they’re back on sale .

I have been on the hunt for the best allergy-friendly peanut butter alternative for years. I personally love peanut butter but my partner is severely allergic and it’s not safe to have around my kitchen anymore. I’ve tried wow butter, sun butter, and all the other popular variations out there. None of them have had the perfect texture or flavor, until this voyage spread - it is seriously AMAZING. I’ve tried it in recipes and on its own. I love the added protein and fiber content, and love that it’s affordable! The brand has a great mission and I’d love to see them expand their products. This will be my go-to from now on.

Taste and consistency was not pleasant

I purchase these on a regularly basis because my kids’ school is nut free as most are.They’re an excellent alternative and taste great.
