Little Sheep hot pot soup base is the only one our family use for hot pot now. We tried endless amounts of soup bases, from Japan, China, Korea, and on and on. We finally ended our hunt for the best soup base. We always compare them all to Little Sheep and come back to this. This is our favorite and has the best and most unique/balanced flavor of herbs and spiciness.Can be little salty but that is why you need to add lots of meats, vegetables, noodles, and eat mainly as a dip/sauce, not as a true soup. We have eaten at the Little Sheep restaurants and the soup flavor is exactly the same as you would get from this package.

Amazing as you can imagine, an easy way to make HOT / spicy soup at home.Very very good. The content is very concentrate and salty, but as the hotpot is a process where you add water to dilute the taste, IT NEED MORE WATER THAN THE BACK INSTRUCTIONS, EASY FIX, put more water equivalent up to half of your liquids, wait until it boils and add raw ingredients.You would cook meats on the spicy and Noodles on the mild for richer experience.In the picture I did YingYang hot pot, hot and mild soup.Package arrive as expected, good and fast.

This is the exact same hot pot base that they use at the restaurant. It comes with the chilies, oil and powder. You just need to add 20 cloves of peeled garlic. I also add more dried chilies because i like it spicy. I go to the Asian market and buy thinly sliced beef, bok choy, green onion, assortment of mushrooms, broccoli, frozen dumplings, refrigerated noodles (you can buy any kind you like.. even dried), tofu, etc. You can really put anything you want in this. As far as cooking times, just think about how long each ingredient takes. I usually wait for the water to boil (it says to put 6 cups but I put 8 cups and it tastes fine.. not watered down at all) then add my ingredients. I add the crunchy veggies first (bok choy and broccoli) and the frozen dumplings. Let that come back to a boil then add the mushrooms, meat, noodles, tofu ,etc.I used to eat at the hot pot restaurant near my house at least 4x a month but have not been one single time since I first discovered this soup mix. My wallet has thanked me-- and so has my boyfriend!

It was good, but not as spicy. Its like hot cheetos hot but not xtra hot.

Since the pandemic began we have missed our hot pot extravaganzas. It was top of list on the “what will we do first post pandemic” dreams. We decided enough was enough and that we would try to recreate the hot pot experience at home.We bought all the gear and were delighted when we saw the Little Sheep brand broth base. While we were hopeful, I wasn’t expecting it to come anywhere close to the in person Little Sheep experience.Last night we finally took everything for a spin and were blown away by this soup base. While the in person Little Sheep experience is obviously going to be better than my initial attempt, this base left us all satisfied and thrilled that we could have the amazing flavors at home.So big thank you to the Little Sheep brand for selling this and making our pandemic bubble brighter!
