Great base layer
Very warm, particularly given how thin they are. Feel good to the skin.

Warm and comfortable
I have been using the upper body variant for some time, going out in winter in the -10F with two or three stacked then a good sweater and was hoping to find the pants equivalent.Well, there you go.I only have one pair of these but the when I walk in the wilderness my legs do heat up somewhat and these plus a simple pair of jeans is enough to keep me warm and comfy even well below freezing as long as I walk. You can sweat in them and won't feel cold thereafter as you would with cotton. The other important remark about these or their torso counterpart is how well they control body odor. It is quite amazing. This makes it the absolute best underpants for trekking in winter. Some will say they are quite expensive - true but they are worth every penny.

They are very comfortable, keep the moisture wicked and make a great base layer!
I was a little concerned about the price vs the results. I have sense realized that the price was worth the quality and how well these perform. I went on a 10 mile, 3-1/2 hour hike in the snow, 25 degrees F, 9 mph breeze with these and a pair of *brand unmentioned* breathable, convertible pants rated at 50 SPF. Obviously, my legs were toasty warm, but hiking and these Icebreakers as a base layer kept me dry and comfortable for the whole hike.

Extremely comfortable against the skin, fantastic moisture wicking...
Wool is the best moisture-wicking fabric there is -- MUCH better than petroleum-based insulation like polypropylene, etc. The reason that matters: the source of most people's feeling of cold is not the cold -- it's the wet from the skin's natural sweat. If you combine that with the fact that wool keeps air from moving across your skin and you get a great next-to-skin layer. These Merino-wool leggings are soft, comfy and warm.

Poor fitting over priced compared to LAPASA
5'7" 150lbs - size Small. these are a little bit baggy on me but the waistband is a good fit. I would have liked them more if they were a bit more snug. LAPASA M31 merino wool thermals were tighter and more form fitting, and had the same thickness of fabric... I'm having a hard time telling the difference in warmth and itchiness between the two products. I'M NOT SATISFIED. Poor fitting and over priced compared to LAPASA.

Money well spent
I used for all the winter. It Keeps very warm. I'll wash it only at the end of the winter season because there's no bad smell (For washing remember to use always wool soap to avoid damage). (I purchased also other two items from Icebreaker and I was satisfied for all of them)

not fit
I wear 32x30 pants, 5' 10" & like 133 lbs & small is too tight. This is a good brand--Aaron Linsdau used Icebreaker to break a world record in Antarctica & likes Icebreaker--but I need a bigger size.
