Once simmered or boiling food is added, this thermal cooker continues to cook for several hours. The food also remains hot for several hours, but will be luke warm after about 6-8 hours.

This slow cooker is the bomb! I am totally impressed with the function of this little slow cooker. These are not sold in the US. This came all the way from Japan. The instructions were in Japanese. Since I am the type that doesn't read instructions, this was not a problem. I bought this product because of a YouTube video I saw, so I already knew how to use it. It is great for cooking beef stew.Brown about 2 pounds of beef stew meat, add it to the stainless-steel pot along with cut veggies, slow cooker beef stew seasoning mix, water and then bring to a boil on the stove top. Boil for 10 minutes, remove from heat and place the stainless-steel pot with lid in the Thermos container and close the cover. Eight hours later you will have fully cooked beef stew that is ready to eat. The temp of the stew will be about 140 degrees when you first open the Thermos cooker. You can place back on the stove if you want it a little hotter. Great for camping or a road trip. It's pricy but well made.

The person I bought the for loves it and had already used it dozens of times. Only negative is done things a harder to clean them they would be on a traditional pan. She has made mini pot roast and lasagna in it, look up recipes on youtube

Great pot, good for cooking soup. Keeps it warm a long time.
I really like this pot. It is a great pot for soup, warm custard, and keeping food warm for a picnic. You don't have to worry about burning the beans because you can heat the inner pot to a boil and then put it in the thermos overnight. Sometimes you might have to cook the beans for a few more minutes the next morning to make them a little softer, but a few minutes, not 30-60. So the energy savings must be emense.
