Great masterpiece! Good details and painting
Great masterpiece! Good details and painting. The tires could have been made out of rubber, but this is a common flaw in transformers masterpieces from Takara. The only ones that have rubber tires are MP-01 Optimus Prime and Rodimus Prime as far as I know.

Sideswipe in style
4.5 out of 5. Minor niggles are slight paint difference on some panels, head is either too small or chest piece too big - doesn't quite look right.Great possibility and feel overall despite no die cast pieces. Transformation a little tricky at first, but some good YouTube videos out there. As with all the masterpiece transformers, overall scale seems good, cartoon accurate robot mode with real life accurate Lamborghini. Just be careful when transforming, as some hinges are a little stiff at first and some parts seem delicate!A must for any fan or collector.

Broken parts
The masterpiece itself came with loose parts and broken accessories. Not impressed but the transformer itself is the best designed yet hence why I gave a higher review

Cool but frustratingly faulted action figure.
Sideswipe was one of the most stylish of the early Generation 1 Transformers and one of my personal favorites, so I was keen to get my hands on this masterpiece edition of the character. He's still as stylish as ever, however the figure is not without its problems...First of all the positives: This is pretty much a picture-perfect recreation of Sideswipe as we know him from the early animated and comic-book series, or the more recent comic-books as published by IDW. He has a dozen plus points of articulation in his knees, hips, waist, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands head and neck, comes armed with his hand held flare-pistol and shoulder mounted rocket launcher, stands about 7" tall and transforms into an almost entirely accurate replica of the Lamborghini Countach LP500S. He also comes with a pair of piledrivers (as seen using in an early episode of the Generation 1 cartoon) which can be used instead of his hands. The negatives: Like all of the masterpioece range, this action figure is much more complicated to transform than the original toys ever were, but also appears a little more complicated than even some of the other masterpiece action figures. Many of the parts are quite intricate and require a little gentle coaxing in order to move them as required, and I was really anxious of the possibility that they might break so caution is advised when transforming him. Most significantly for me was the fact that a few of the joints on this figure seemed a great deal more slack than on others in the masterpiece range - specifically in the case of the one I own with the knees - which makes standing the figure up without it collapsing under its own weight quite tricky - but also with part of the head which keeps flopping open due to slack joints. Additionally, whilst the hand weapons and shoulder launchers on other toys in the range have fit quite snugly into the slots provided on previous masterpiece toys that I have purchased, in this case they are really quite loose and prone to falling out.I dont know whether these faults are unique to the figure I purchased or whether then are a fault that runs throughout the entire range, but for me it means that I have been left with a great looking action figure but one that is frustratingly faulted.

Floppy sh!twipe.
I have had the same experience as Chief, the customer above, but I won't be as generous with my rating. All of these Masterpiece Transformers I have bought so far, except Grimlock, have been S.H.I.T.! The prices are disgusting considering the flaws these figures have. The Rodimus figure was the worst but now this takes the cake. Don't be suckered.

This is not a toy
Thai is one of the best Masterpiece Transformers done, but seems very expensive considering the size.Unfortunately my came with a damaged box and stiffed for customs which made it too expensive.
