This works great!
The media could not be loaded. I foster cats and have a room to quarantine them in when they arrive at my home. I need a tall gate that keeps them in the room and keeps my cats out. After a few days, I like to open the door so they can see and hear and smell what’s going on in the house. This gate works great for that! The slats are small enough that even skinny cats can’t squirm through them. And it’s tall enough that the cats I’ve fostered have not been able to climb it or jump over it.It installs easily and quickly. No tools are necessary for installing this because it’s pressure mounted. My door width is narrow at 30 inches and this fits perfectly! I have not had to use the extensions that come with it, so I don’t know much about them. But I have them stashed away to use in the future if necessary. This is also fairly lightweight (compared to other brands) yet sturdy. It is very easy to open, just lift the door up slightly and swing it open. The door is either open at a 90 degree angle or it is closed. There is no in between. It will swing shut automatically if it’s not locked open. The door can either open in or out. This is a great value and works perfectly for my needs!

Great for keeping out most cats
It was pretty simple to set up and is very sturdy if put together right. I'm fostering a cat and have 4 of my own so it's doing a great job keeping them separate however my crazy black cat Luna cleared this thing in one try but it works for the other 5. I just put a cheap baby gate over it and it's works great. Also keeps my big dog out of the room. I'd say it's good value for the money

A great cat gate. Easy to use and keeps the cat happy.
This is a confirmation that this is a great cat gate. I have five dogs and a cat that live in a room that allows him to enjoy the world. But, I needed a gate to let him see the action and not escape. This does the job.It' is tall enough and the bars are close enough to prevent any escape. He is now enjoying the activities and is safe.

It keeps my cats out!
My cats and dogs don’t get along and this gate keeps them separated. It’s high enough to stop the one cat who always jumped over my last baby gate and I could not be happier to know my cats are safe now! I like the gate and it’s very sturdy, opens and closes easily. It was pretty straightforward to install and the extra side pieces were just what was needed to keep the spaces small enough so no cat can get through. The only downside is the handle. It lifts up too much when opening and closing so I wrapped a piece of white electrical tape on it to hold it down as I felt that with time that might eventually break. This seems to have done the job as it no longer lifts up to far. Overall I am happy with this purchase. It works as it intended and my cats can still see us through the gate and be safe.

It worked!
We have a little ginger monkey - I mean cat- who loves to climb on everything! We placed 2 baby gates on top of each other trying to keep her from the dining room and office in the front of the house. She treated them like her own personal jungle gym! While she managed to get over this gate once, she has decided that it’s not worth the effort, so it has worked like a charm! Easy to assemble and very sturdy. Now if only we could find something as effective for keeping her off our counters…🤣

Not the best latch, rungs are further apart than stated
I've needed a gate like this for a long while and finally took the dive and bought one. I'm super sad that the one delivered has a broken latch that sticks. It has to manually be pushed forward after release to relock it in place. It looks like it knocked into something and was damaged on the corner during shipping. The rungs are 1.5" apart, not 1.32". One of my cats still squeezed through ha.All in all the latch is small and a bit... underwhelming for such a large gate. I've had many other shorter gates with much better latches. I don't see this one lasting long, especially being broken out of the box. I really don't want to have to send it back but for the price I probably will and will order a different brand.Installation was easy, the instructions don't tell you want every piece is for, and the bottom kick guards don't fit a lot of door jams, so keep in mind those are more for open spaces with flat flooring/no kickboards. It came with two metal pieces that I still have no idea what they are for and while the instructions that came with it doesn't tell you what the bolts are for, the videos on here give a glimpse. It isn't cat/kitten proof if your cats are on the smaller side.

Best gate ever!
This gate has been a true life saver to me and my family. We have four cats and a dog all in which need to stay on the opposite side of the house from our bedrooms. This gate has not only prevented them from leaving hair all over our beds but has eliminated the headache of me having to worry and search for potty accidents the animals might have. Also, I think it’s important to note that the gate is extremely sturdy due to the appropriate grips it comes with and no matter how smart your animals are at opening doors there’s no way they’re opening or climbing over this. Finally, gate is the perfect amount of weight. My 7yo has no problem opening and closing this gate on her own and she’s a few inches shorter than it. This gate totally makes my top 5 most useful Amazon purchases and definitely was money well spent.

Very sturdy and nice but.................
.......... no instructions in the box!!! Could not figure out where the two bare metal "U" shaped 4" pieces went and not sure if the nut goes in between the outside extension bar and the gate OR between the extension bar and the plastic bumper wheel that hits the frame - ended up not using them and it seems to work great anyway. Maybe they aren't even necessary? The manufacturer should post a link to online instructions.FYI: We put ours in a door frame (not between two walls) and the door shuts fine even though the three bumpers are on the bottom of the gate.
