Unfortunately I can't tell you how precisely calibrated this weight is because I did not take the time to take it somewhere and weigh it, since I needed it to calibrate my own scale. A classic paradox, lol!I can tell you that after calibrating my scale with this weight... It weighs exactly 2 kg!Humor aside, it is good enough for government work as all my other smaller calibration weights read as they should after using this thing to calibrate my scale.But of course there are dozens of factors that contribute to that, that I won't get into right now.So if you bought the Amazon's choice 5kg/0.01g generic Chinese scale that dozens of companies sell and you need to calibrate it then this is the product for you!I would in no way recommend that scale for anything lab related but it is great for the shop - weighing filament rolls, random odds and ends, pretty much anything that's less than 5 kg. The scale even works great for small pets. But what am I even talking about - this is supposed to be a review for the weight not the scale.But how much can you really say about a weight. I will let you know if the Chrome coating starts flaking over time.

Worked exactly for what I needed it for

I do leathercrafting as a hobby, and I use the 2 kg version as an alternative to more expensive 1 kg weights that are used simply to hold leather down (not for calibration, as this was intended). It acts like an extra hand when cutting leather so the piece doesn't shift around. Happy I got the 2kg as well, as it is weighted well for my application. I cannot speak to the weight accuracy though.

This is exactly what I needed to calibrate a scale system I bought for RC cars it works well and the case is a nice way to store it.
