Excellent User-Friendly WiFi 6 Mesh System
I purchased the MERCUSYS Halo H60X (3-pack) in November 2024, and it has been a fantastic addition to my home network. The setup process was straightforward and took less than 20 minutes. Once all the units were plugged in and the lights were blinking as expected, the mobile app quickly recognised them. From there, it was smooth sailing. The performance has been impressive. I’ve seen a significant reduction in WiFi dead spots around my home, and the connection is fast and stable across all my devices. Whether streaming 4K videos, working on video calls, or simply browsing, the system handles it all without a hitch. The units are compact and blend well with my home decor. They also come with Gigabit Ethernet ports, which are great for connecting devices like smart TVs.

Early days but it's done exactly what I wanted to do so far
I've been using power line extenders to get a signal from the house to a steel framed man cave, the router is installed at the front of the house and the man cave at the back about 25m away. The powerline tech did work reasonably well but despite being some bit tech savvy, I could never get the set up to be "unified" in one network... so I was always changing network on some devicesI spent ages looking at mesh wifi products and there's so little to differentiate the performance for many of the suppliers. Mercusys are a subsidiary of TP Link [so good quality in my experience] and this H60X 3 pack was on sale for £100 and seemed the right offering for my situationOut of the box, the "router" set up was easy enough but I was a little thrown by the fact the "satellites" seemed to be set up already... I tried to "add" them but they set themselves up in seconds. Strange.. they looked new and untouchedSo for the acid test. I moved the first satellite to the back of the house on a window sill... about 30 feet from the router. Through 2 concrete walls. Great signal! Then moved the 2nd satellite into the cave... put it in line with a window and the 1st satellite... BINGO! there's been a great signal since, perfect streaming and no drops. I didn't like where the 2nd satellite was so moved it about 6 feet but now no longer in line through a window... signal went weak... moved it back and signal is fine again. The point is when they say a strategic placement is needed, they mean it. I got lucky with my placements... will try moving the 1st satellite upstairs to see if I can improve the connections.Early days but mission accomplished... I didn't think they would "daisy chain" from the front to the rear of the property, they do!

Great littler wifj mesh
After using BT mini discs for a while and experiencing issues with their sensitivity to movement and inconsistent speeds, I decided to invest in a new system. We have Virgin Fibre with a 250mb connection. The setup for the new units was quite simple. After downloading the app, I powered up all three units, and they paired automatically (initially, I tried adding each manually, which wasn’t necessary). I then placed them on the relevant floors. The main unit is connected to the Virgin Hub via an Ethernet cable, delivering a full speed of about 264mb in the living room. On the second floor, I positioned the unit vertically in line with the main unit below, achieving consistent speeds of over 150mb. The third unit, located in the loft on the third floor, provides around 80mb. While it's not aligned vertically with the unit below, the speed is more than sufficient, though it might improve with relocation. The app is intuitive and makes setup easy. Overall, for the price, these units are excellent, and would definitely recommend them.

Excellent coverage!
An absolute breeze to set up! Just download the Mercusys app, create an account and connect the module labelled as "1st" via ethernet cable to the router, connect to the app and set a password etc. Once that's done, you place the others close to it, plug them in and pair them up, simple! Once they are paired you can put them wherever you want. I found that when used wirelessly they would occasionally lose connection, ( due to thick walls), and I would have to reset them in the app, so as I already had ethernet cables running to the upstairs rooms via a TP Link switch, I just connected them all together and they have been perfect so far. They are 9cm square white cubes, quite light and easily placed around the home, the app is easy to use, it's not overly complicated but informative. The modules have worked well for me, them

Great mesh system for the price and super easy to install
Bought to ensure WiFi reaches garden room but having the additional 3rd module has offers great flexibility.Once you have the ‘router’ installed to your existing hub (I’m with Vodafone broadband for reference/ WiFi 6 router) the satellite nodes are literally just plug and play.Companion app if super simple to use and easy to name the network and set up the password. Even offers a guest WiFi which is a nice addition.WiFi 6 is a great additions and consistent speeds throughout my home and garden.

Ridiculously short power cable.
Seems to work as intended, but the power cable is ridiculously short. I would have awarded another star if the cable had been half a metre longer allowing me to position the units where I intended.

Connectivity is Patchy but easy set up
Maybe I had some back luck but my connection is patchy, has an app - but it doesn’t seem to fix that issue, but the strength seems good, and it reaches my garden. But next time I might just get the upgraded model in hopes for more reliable connectivity.
