Rit Dye – Liquid Fabric Dye for Crafting, Clothing, and Décor – 8 oz. Bottle – Black (Gloves Included)

Worked incredible for a few items so far. Best result was with my echo chainsaw clone. Dyed a cool deep, deep, purple/black. Just added to a pot of water and steeped on the stove at just under boil temp. Kept things stirring. No warping, dye penetrated awesome, and have plenty left over for other dips. Went ahead and dyed a red/white hat and some red/tan bmx gloves. Dipped for literally 30 secs tops and came out with some really cool grey palmed gloves with a maroonish fabric on the back. hat turned the same maroonish, white turned grey. Really fun project and so simple.WARNING:Do not, do not, do not spill this stuff on anything you don't want dyed. I dripped some on an old counter and it refused to be removed. Had to sand it to get it to come out. Coverage on anything aside from a stovetop, so I have learned, is exceptional. Using the pot of water/just under boil method resulted in a streak free, uniform dye. No weak areas, or excessive areas.

First time dying clothing and I’m impressed. Had a white dress I wanted to wear to a wedding and easily dyed it the night before! The color quality is great, it’s a little darker than I wanted but that’s because I let the dress soak a little too long. Washed it twice and even though it was an outdoor wedding on a very hot day there was no color bleeding from sweat. It was so easy to do I will dye more clothes in the future!

Used this Rit black dye on a few faded hats and it worked way better than I expected. The color came out rich and even, no weird blotches or streaks. It made old hats look brand new again.Application was simple. I followed the instructions, let them soak, and the results were solid. The black came through strong without turning gray or dull after drying.If you’ve got hats that are looking worn out or sun-faded, this stuff is worth it. Gave mine a second life and saved me from having to toss them.

Perfect color… I bleached and dyed the bottom half of my jeans. They turned out so good.

This works well on the materials it can do, like cloth and plastic.This does nothing to rubber, only FYI as I thought it did and it doesn't. You need the "synthetic" version to dye rubber.

Boy they sure don’t make things like they used to!! I used two bottles of this dye and after using the first one, the color did not come out as what I wanted so I purchased a second bottle and unfortunately, the color never changed from when I died it with the first bottle. This product has been around for a long time and when I was a kid, my mom used it. My aunt used it, but I don’t know what they do to it now they may be watering it down, because it did nothing and it was a waste of my money!!!

I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. I used it to die the foot mats in the front of a car. The color took well but it’s too soon to say if they’ll feed quickly or not.

Don't do it... It may dye your cloths darker black again. But the black never comes out. I only dyed black tank tops, maybe three of them. Even after rinsing the clothes for an hour. Then running about 3 black only loads. And then doing regular laundry week by week for months SOMEHOW today MONTHS later it will STILL find a way to leak black ink onto your other items if you do a random full item load. You will forever have to do your blacks separately FOREVER. However your black items will forever be darkness incarnate. But half my white socks and about 4 white or lighter color shirts look like a bad purple tiedye job.
