Blows cold like the big guys at a fraction of the power
Great mini swamp cooler, works just like my big one but for a smaller space. This isn't like the smaller gimmicky ones, it has a legit evap pad & pump.Pulls 40ish watts at low fan & water pump and a little over 55 watts at full power. The louvers are a nice bonus and the swing feature hits just right. Only thing I would add is a light in the water tank so you can see how much is left in low light. Also, be sure not to kink the hose coming off the water pump in the tank at the bottom. This thing is sweet, if you live where it's dry it will 100% cool you down. Probably going to buy one or two more for myself.

Not worth it
*update 7/18/24*I lowered the rating to 1 star. The water is even more yellow and there is gunk floating in it now. Doesn’t cool the room off AT ALL and actually makes it more humid. It’s too later to return it, so we are stuck with it, but after summer is over it’s going straight into the trash.*update 7/14/24*The water is yellow in the little plastic tub where you fill it with water. And I see now way to be able to remove the tub to clean it. It’s kinda gross actually. This is essentially a rectangular fan. Yes, it comes with ice packs, but they do nothing to cool off a room.I got this for the room my daughter’s computer in since the air in our house is garbage. She can feel the air hitting her, from the fun function, but the room never cools off.The wheels don’t turn very well either once you put the water in it. But we have a laminate wood floor so that doesn’t affect anything too much. The water lasts a lot longer than I thought it would. I fill it once in the morning and once in the early evening. The remote works great but only if it’s pointing directly at the unit.

Works GREAT in the right climate.
I live in Colorado, which has a very dry climate, where these kinds of evaporative coolers work quite well. So much so that our home does not have traditional AC but a large evaporative cooler on the roof. It is very important to consider your climate when purchasing one of these. If you live someplace humid, very little water will evaporate inside the cooler as there is already a lot of moisture in the air that surrounds you, so it will not sufficiently cool the air that it blows out into the room. If you live someplace with relatively dry air, this cooler will make a dramatic difference. This unit is compact but has a powerful turbine fan that can easily move the air in a 200 sq ft room. It is easy to fill and has a generously sized tank that will go for over 12 hours. I purchased one and liked it so much that I purchased another a few weeks later—so I obviously highly recommend these.

Fast & Quiet!
This is the best portable heater I have tried; bought four of them in the last year or so. It is so quiet and efficient. I love the different settings and use it on high to get heat quickly, then can use the remote to turn it down to Eco mode or a low setting. I can see very clearly the numeric display to see how much heat it is putting out. This feature is so helpful. It can oscillate 90 degrees to cover and area, another handy feature. It heats so fast and is round shaped, another distinct difference, so it can fit into corners better. It looks high-tech and modern, like a very expensive item. I use an extension cord that is rated to handle the 1500 watts so do not worry about problems. It is easy to take traveling too as it is lightweight. Simply the best heater purchased by me in years.

Some good, some bad
I've been using this heater daily for almost two months and would probably look for a different unit if I had to replace it.PROS:1. Does produce heat but not a huge amount.2. Does have digital temperature setting which I use constantly and like.3. Modes of operation such as oscillation I like but haven't been using.3. The remote can be helpful.CONS:1. Heat does not project, I actually place a small fan next to mine to push the heat wherever I want it. That works surprisingly well but obviously is not ideal.2. MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT is that the controls on the heater itself are IDIOTIC and make stupid what is otherwise an OK machine. One problem with them is that the six buttons are a super-sensitive type that are activated by the faintest contact, like it or not. Another problem is that the buttons are flat, smooth and flush making it impossible to 'feel' them with fingertips. As a result it is necessary to place your body where you can clearly see the buttons as you 'touch' them carefully. Otherwise the slightest contact with the wrong button will make it necessary to reset everything. It's too bad. Some manufacturer, probably in China, has done a pretty decent job of designing and making a small and cheap space heater but unfortunately made some unnecessary choices on their control panel buttons that can make using the machine a real pain in the %#! on a day to day basis.Control buttons that can actually be 'felt' and must actually be 'pressed' and not just 'touched' would be so easy to provide and would help so much. Some design engineer at the manufacturer is probably saying I should just use the remote. My answer is that I keep that remote in another spot and don't want to either keep moving that remote or need that remote when the heater is sitting within arms reach.

Great for small spaces
Good for a small room. If the room gets hot before you turn it on you may need to add water after the first couple hours. Included ice packs are a bonus and help cool a space.

Doesn't blow cold air
I bought this thinking it was like an air conditioner only quieter. This thing is just a fan that blows warm moist air. The cold packs quickly melt after 10 minutes giving you that much slightly cool air. After that it's blowing air at the same ambient temperature. Supposedly if it runs with no water for awhile it can damage the unit. Not worth the time, money or labor. Total bust on chinese junk once again. When is the USA gonna start making quality products again?
