Q: Does it matter where it is positioned? I mean does it have to be in front of the screen, or will I get a good sound if it is opposite the screen?

Totally up to you , I have mine above the screen, think about if you are using a optical cable, will it be long enough

Q: How do the wall brackets attach

Drill holes in wall for bracket leaving them proud out for wall so you can slide on bracket remove 2 screws in back off soundbar put brackets on then slide over 2 screws in wall Tighten screws to tight fit when pusing brackets on

Yes roughly behind the sharp logo on the front
