It was easy to replace. I was getting a terrible screeching noise. Installing this actuator did not make the noise better or worse. I replaced a different part, which solved the noise. The replacement actuator continued to have no different effect, it worked the same no matter which actuator was in there, so it seems to be an effective replacement for the factory actuator. The ease of installing and uninstalling was a relief when trying to isolate the problem.

My Maytag washer keep stopping in "sensing" mode. It would eventually complete the cycle after opening and closing the lid a bunch of times. I keep this up for a few years. Finally, I "Googled" it. I found a good Youtube video on the exact problem. It pointed me to this part. This part was easy to change. I did not even have to disconnect my washer. I just leaned it over on its side far enough over to get the part. It took 15 minutes. Easy and can be. My washer works perfectly now.

Arrived quickly and was an exact match to the description. Already had the old one out so it took about 10 minutes to assemble and test, worked perfectly. I originally thought it was the clutch because my wife said she heard a loud bang then it stopped spinning. When I checked I could rotate the impeller piece in the drum which made terrible grinding noises. After laying it on it's back and checking the clutch was fine so I kind of guessed this was the only thing left that would make it act this way. The part installed easily and fixed the problem.

This shift actuator fit my Maytag Top Loader Model #MVWC425BW1 washer. The self diagnostic came back no codes, I was getting a spin light on in diagnostic mode, fit correctly and was very easy to replace. This is the Maytag model without center agitator. This is definitely the correct part. I hope this reviewed helped with the info I stated. I definitely would buy this again if needed.

It connected and appeared to be working at first. However the agitate function in washer was very weak. The water level also kept over filling. recalibration didn't help. I reordered an OEM part and now the washer is working fine. FYI, I think most of the other third party "brands" sold on amazon are actually this same part.

Three weeks ago, my aunt's Whirlpool washer wasn't draining or spinning so her sister/my mom - my grandfather's fifth son - was determined to fix it because she's a DIYer - Do It (from) YouTuber.So she troubleshooted that this was the part she needed, & asked me to order it for her.Two hours after Amazon delivered it she installed it, & ran a rinse cycle to make sure it worked. It did, & she saved the day & who knows how much $ for my aunt. She said was easy to install, but it did take one of my other uncles to help her turn the washer around to get the bad part out/this one in, so it is a two person job at least.My aunt gave my mom $5 for fixing it but I hope she gives her more if she wins at bingo tonight!
