Great backpack for hiking or travel
This backpack is very functional and has plenty of storage pockets to hold your stuff and keep it organized. It is lightweight and very sturdy, so it should hold up well with extended use.

Trendy Manufacturer Puts Out Another Poorly Designed Yet Highly Expensive Bag
You have to be careful when purchasing so called "high end" backpacks that are starting to saturate the market.Chrome Industries is another one of those brands you have to be careful about. At $100, it was hard to find anything with this backpack that warranted it's exorbitant price.Material wise, I'm conflicted. Portions of the bag, especially externally with the straps, back panel, and zippers, are all top notch. Zippers operate flawlessly and have large rubber zipper pulls to aid in opening and closing. However, the materials inside of the bag all feel like cheap material you'd expect from a budget backpack.I knew that bag was going to be smaller capacity wise since it does advertise as a 16L but damn, is this bag small. I don't know exactly what it is but they somehow designed it to feel even smaller than it'd specifications. The main compartment is where organization happens. There's a semi-padded laptop/tablet sleeve that can fit laptops up to 15". My 15" fit but it was not easy to get in and out due to the tightness of it. I think it's best suited for tablets or laptops that are less than 15". The sleeve floats protecting whatever you put there so that's a positive. I've never been a big fan of incorporating laptop/tablet sleeves into the main compartment of backpacks. In my opinion, they should always be placed in an independent and separate compartment. Having it as is doesn't allow for quick access. There are a few organizational pockets sewn in for pens and other items with no additional zippered areas. There is a cheaply made plastic key holder that doesn't even have a latch. Instead, it you insert and take off keys by bending the plastic enough to get them in or out. There is an internal water bottle holder.......which, to me is really weird at best. About the only reason I would think this is useful is that it keeps your bottle upright and minimizes any moisture from getting other items in the bag. Other than that, it's a gimmicky inclusion that takes up valuable space in the bag that is better placed externally on the bag. There are 3 additional external pockets. There is a fleece lined pocket you would access from the top ofthe bag that is tiny. About the only thing you could probably get into this is a pair of sunglasses. The other two zippered pockets are on the front of the bag and both are side entry. The first is decent sized and the second is almost as tiny as the fleece lined pocket. neither have any organization within and are just open pockets. So here's where the bag halfway redeems itself. The straps and backpanel of the backpack are generously padded with a material that feels like memory foam. Very comfortable. However, how can you not include a sternum strap??Lastly, there's a luggage strap built into the back of panel of the bag, which, is something that most manufacturers leave out. It's part of the reason why I thought for sure this bag was going to be well thought out as a carry on travel bag.Overall I found this bag to be terrible for what it's advertised to do. One, it's too small to be of any use as an actual carry on travel bag. Two, more than half of the pockets are too small with no organization to be of any use. Three, the laptop compartment should be independent and separate from the main compartment. Four, how the hell does a so called carry on travel bag not have a sternum strap??And lastly, selling a bag with this many flaws for a $100 is outright robbery!
