Lego Tribute to Jules Verne's Books Set 40690, Creator Imagination Library, Book 1

I got this for my sone who just finished reading Around the World in 80 days. This was a great surprise for him and a way to introduce him to the other books. He enjoyed building this and it was a fun and easy build.

Very imaginative and detailed addition to any LEGO collection. Looks great on the book shelf next to the Jules Verne section of my library!

Although the set is smaller than I expected, this is actually an advantage because it makes it easier to display.I'm a hugh Jules Verne fan ever since I was a boy and I read 'Twenty Thousand leagues under the sea', so having such a great homage to this wonderful author is a must to any Verne fan.This set pays homage to 3 of Verne's books - Around the World in Eighty Days, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and Five Weeks in a Balloon. The references to the three books are small and displayed on an open book.In addition there's mini-fig version of Jules Verne holding a letter and pen-feather.You can't find this set on official Lego online stores. I found it here, on Amazon, in the Amazon Lego store.I guess you can find it on other non-official sellers.Lastly, I have one question - here, on Amazon, the set is named Book 1. Does this mean there is or will be Book 2 or even Book 3?

This set combined my two loves; books and Lego. Fun build and looks great on my shelves.

Jules Verne is my favorite author and when I saw this kit existed, I had to have it. Wonderful build, full of great details reminiscent of his most loved stories. Will forever be displayed on my library shelf.

I loved putting this together! Jules Verne stories are some of my favorite stories. So when I found out Lego was doing this, just HAD to get it! Loads of fun!
