I have a number of musculo-skeletal and orthopedic issues causing constant pain and stiffness. I'd used small red light mats before and had seen some relief but my old mat stopped working. Not long after I realized that the aches and pains were back and what small comfort I'd had was gone. I did some thorough research into a replacement and came across this "Double Pulses Red Light Therapy Mat for Full Body Pain Relief." The reviews were encouraging and the advertised functions along with its full body size were quite appealing. I've had/used this now for over 2 months. The time saved not having to do multiple sessions on different body parts with a smaller sized mat is a blessing. This mat has greater versatility of function and greater strength/penetration than other mats I've used. While it does not heal a lifetime's collection of injuries and pain, it eases stiffness markedly and reduces pain levels. It even warms up after a few minutes which is quite soothing in addition to the penetrative features. I was leery about spending more that some of my former mats combined but this was money well spent. I'm a big guy and I'm not keen on pain meds nor do I see relief from over the counter analgesics. THIS HELPS!!

I like this mat. It seems well constructed and I enjoy using it. However, it has a potential fatal flaw. It comes with a proprietary power supply with an embedded rheostat (pictured). Out of the box the dial is set to Max. Dialing it down dims the light intensity, but this can also be done by selecting one of the five power levels, P1 through P5. Therefore, it only seems useful if you wanted to attempt to simulate a level 3.5, for instance, which you could never do by eye. You'd need a sensitive light intensity metering device of some sort, so this seems like a useless feature. My problem with the unit is that the power supply box gets concerningly hot after 60 minutes of use at level P3. Hot to the point that you're wondering if the casing will warp. I don't think this is safe. I'd hate to think how hot it would be after 90 minutes at power level 5. Therefore, it seems unlikely that this unit could ever be used to its full potential. It was plugged directly into the wall socket btw.I attempted to reach out to the seller, who has an outlook.com email address (never a good sign), regarding this issue and have yet to receive a response. I would therefore warn you that there is seemingly no legitimate vendor standing behind this device and once the 30 day return window closes, you and I will both be SOL. I can't see how the power supply could possibly last, getting so hot on a regular basis. I may try to cool my power supply with a fan, or by resting it on a covered ice pack, but this should not be necessary. If it were an inexpensive device, I might take a chance. Given the fact that I'm out of pocket more than $350 at the time of this writing, it seems like a very bad bet.It could be that my unit is simply defective. I'll most likely send it back for a replacement. I'll let you know what happens with the second unit.UPDATE: Before my initial review was even published, customer service reached out to me and offered to send a new power brick, which I received promptly, drop shipped from Walmart, of all places. The new (identical) power supply gets hot too, but I have mitigated this by propping the unit at a 45-degree angle and using a small fan to circulate air around it. It's the bottom surface that seems to generate the most heat, so airflow beneath keeps the until very cool. Initially the bottom surface of the brick was resting on carpet so that compounded the problem. Now that the heat issue is solved, I'm upping my rating to 5 stars due to the perceived high quality of the product so far, and the excellent customer service I received.

I nap undermine for the top and on it for my back. It is plasticky smelling so air it out. I travel with mine because I pack a duffel bag. I store rolled up under my bed so I can easily pull it out and use. I listen to podcasts, music etc. while redlighting. I draped over my legs while working too if I am short on time. Has several brightness selections. I bought mine at Christmas on sale but even without the sale I think the price point is good for the quality of product.

Used 2 times and will not work now! I have check and everything is connected tight and not working.

I suffer from severe arthritis and joint pain and red light therapy has really helped ease my pain. I was going to a local tanning place that offered red light, but it just wasn't affordable to sustain going on a regular basis so I needed to find and alternative. I come across this mat and for the price it made sense to purchase.I like that it rolls up and has a bag for easy storage, the 5 brightness settings and the built in timer.I'm 5'8 and the length of the mat is fine, but probably wouldn't work for someone that is 6' or taller.I would recommend this mat if you're interested in red light therapy and all the benefits it has to offer.

This red light mat is exactly what I've been looking for. It has excellent full body coverage and several power options. I was nervous to spend a lot of money but this mat is wonderful and worth every penny!! Me and my husband use this. He noticed results right away for his muscle soreness and stiff joints. I am already feeling the benefits of having less back pain and leg soreness. It's large enough to lay on entirely and warms with use making it so restful and relaxing. I also cover myself with it like a blanket. After daily use I am noticing I'm sleeping better also. The customer service was amazing and they were quick to help me answer questions and make sure I had everything I needed for effective and safe use of the mat. This is my favorite thing I've gotten off Amazon. It is also very easy to use. After about 5 min of set up that is literally just hooking up the power box and laying it where you want to use it, it's good to go.
