It’s strong and fits under the mattress and prevents falls out of bed. We like it very much.

It came as scheduled and set up fairly easily. Heavy steel is a welcome relief from the thin, light weight bed rails of the past (ie: children’s bed rail). Really strong. Stays in place. A thankful addition for an adult who needed the extra help and support.

We used 2 sets of these side rails to replace the hospital bed with overhead trapeze. These side rails have lots of support due to the legs. Many styles of side rails don't have legs. We used 2 sets. We used the included straps to connect the two sets of side rails and wove them around the bed legs for even more support. My husband uses the rails at the head of the bed to pull himself into place with his arms. This system doesn't work as well as the trapeze over the hospital bed, but well enough to get him back into his normal bed. After he is positioned correctly, we place pillows under his head.Our bed is very tall ~ too tall for hubby to get into with both knees immobilized with splints, so we had to replace our normal 9 inch box spring with a low profile 5 inch box spring. This is due to the style of bed, but shouldn't cause a problem in most beds.Either way, these side rails, plus a low profile box spring allowed us to get rid of the temporary hospital bed with overhead trapeze that hubby has been using for the past few weeks!

I loved the fact that this one has a strap that goes under the bed to secure the rail down. This was a concern when I purchased this as to how stable it would be. It secures very well to the bed and is tall enough for the deep mattresses of today. Great purchase.

I was pleasantly surprised to see it didn't need much to be put together. 5 minutes and it was done. Very sturdy and I believe it's metal. I like that the sides slide in and out too.Thank you
