Very nice appearance.
I'm not a Whisky drinker myself but apparently this is a nice smooth Whisky and something slightly different in taste. Great presentation and looked the part as a gift.

Surprisingly good
I've never really got into Whisky, apart from the odd JD and Coke. But I am a keen Brandy drinker and don't mind spending on quality - Remy XO for example.I original bought HC as a present and when the receiver opened it, offered me a try. I couldn't believe how nice it tasted and instantly went out and bought myself a bottle. If you're a Brandy drinker traditionally, I would recommend this as a nice substitute for something different. To be honest, I'd rather drink this than the Remy VSOP and it's cheaper.

A pleasant single grain when on discount
At a discount price this is a very pleasant single grain whisky which drinks well on its own. Some connoisseurs will hate that remark but pretty well any whisky, blend, single grain or malt, Scottish or even Japanese, will have those who love it and an equal number of detractors.Scotch is an acquired taste to start off with and once acquired has a whole range from dark and peaty to light and soft to have a go at.I must admit I discovered Haig Club just by seeing it on offer at a heavily discounted price in a supermarket and decided to give it a go on a whim, all without knowing of its dubious distinction of an endorsement by David Beckham, a marketing ploy no doubt designed to appeal to our celebrity obsessed society.Probably had I known of the endorsement I would have avoided it – nothing against Beckham, I just find celebrity endorsements mildly offensive; someone whose only claim to authority is being famous, and being paid, telling is what we should buy. But that’s just me.But having tried it I quite liked it and when Amazon had it on a warehouse offer bought another bottle. At full price it is expensive for what it is but with a good discount is reasonably priced.Meanwhile if you do try the whisky don’t throw the bottles away. They are a nice, clear, glass, similar to Bristol blue, so if you insert a small string of the thin wired, battery-powered white LED lights, with the battery case hidden at the rear they make a rather sophisticated Christmas decoration, or indeed general decoration. Bet David Beckham didn't know that!

One 'Haig' of a Whiskey!!
I bought Haig Club as a Christmas present for my husband as I wanted to find him something different, in the world of Whiskey's. I haven't drunk any of it as I'm not a whiskey fan myself but my husband absolutely loved it. From the unusual shape bottle and distinctive royal blue colour, which reminds me of antique medicine bottles, to the flavour and quality of the whiskey itself, hubby was 100% satisfied and is now a new fan!!! and the bottle is now empty. Also the delivery packaging was perfectly bubble wrapped, boxed and boxed again, which meant it arrived in 1 piece. Thank you Amazon!

beautiful bottle and perfect for those new to whisky.
I have to say I'm really impressed with this whisky. If you like a deep rich whisky then it's not going to be for you! They're are quite honest about their target market - those who aren't into whisky - and I think it fits that bill perfectly. Light, sweet (as far as whiskys go) and easy to drink. And the bottle is stunning with a lovely metal cap.

Smooth and mellow though not for everyone
I know that some other reviewers have slated this but I bought one for my mum and dad at Xmas and they loved it! Granted it's probably not to the taste of 'whisky experts' but if, like my parents, you normally buy brands like bells, grants or supermarket brands this us a nice treat. It has an extremely mellow taste - I've already had to buy them a second bottle!
