I purchased this for the sole reason that it I could open it with my NFC on my iPhone 14 Pro using Apple Wallet. Although the description implies that, it doesn’t work. The seller also implies that it should work but refuses to provide detailed instructions on how to set that functionality up. I wrote several times trying to troubleshoot with the seller and the communication was poor.

I like the idea of a hidden cabinet lock—it’s a practical solution for securing valuables or keeping certain items out of reach from children. The lock is easy to install and supports both adhesive and screw mounting. It can be unlocked using an NFC card, a smartphone’s NFC function, the eSmartlock app for Apple or Android, or an Apple Watch.The package includes the cabinet lock, a buckle, two adhesive strips for both the buckle and the lock, screws, two NFC cards, a separate metal mounting buckle (likely for use with double-door cabinets), and a user manual. The lock requires two AA batteries, which are not included.According to the product information, the lock can be opened up to 6,000 times before the battery runs low. When the battery is depleted, a low battery alarm will sound, and users will still have approximately 100 more unlocks before it completely dies. Once the battery is fully drained, the lock automatically defaults to the unlocked position. The cabinet lock also has power indicator lights.The lock functions as expected but only after downloading the eSmartlock app from the Google or Apple store and completing the registration process. One drawback is that setting up the lock took more time than anticipated. The instructions are unclear and somewhat confusing, making initial use frustrating. Additionally, the registration process felt time-consuming and required answering a significant number of personal questions.
