So I could run this pump dry for a half hour without fear of it overheating?

The pump can be idling but the time should not exceed 30 minutes, otherwise it will affect the life of the pump. When idling, the motor housing will be a little hot, which is a normal phenomenon of the motor's operation.

Old prime pump has been leaking for some time but never noticed till a huge puddle formed under the water dispenser. Was looking for an OEM but ran into this model that runs the same way with the inlet and outlet on the same side. Overall runs perfect a bit louder than the oem but no issues. Clean your reservoir while changing the pump.

Exactly what we needed.

Our water cooler was going out. Instead of replacing it altogether, we changed the old motor out for this one. Works like new now!

Almost perfect for home carbonation use

I needed a pump to use with my stainless steel carbonation T and this was just about perfect.The only issue is the small 1/4" hose ports that I needed to adapt to larger for the T barbs. This was known ahead of time but I needed the lower flow rate. I previously tried another pump that had larger ports but it generated too much pressure that forced fluid the wrong direction through the carbonation T.
