Bought this to replace my step daughters one on her mk1 Fabia as the sensor had gone in the original - who builds a sensor into a whole unit?! Easy to fit and cheap just seems wasteful for VAG to do it this way.

If you have a VW-Group car make sure you order the correct part
This is undoubtedly a quality replacement part, but when replacing your car's coolant expansion tank, make sure the one you order looks exactly like your original. There are several types that differ in their external connections, coolant pipes and sensor location, etc. The one to fit our Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI 4x4 Estate (2005) is apparently the Febi-Bilstein part no. 46748, not this one, even though the website listed it as suitable. Amazon quickly refunded my returned item though, and hopefully the correct part is now on its way.
