Takara Plum Wine has quickly become one of my favorite drinks! Its sweet yet balanced taste is perfect for winding down after a long day. The plum flavor is authentic and not overpowering, making it a great companion for various meals. Plus, the 750ml bottle is just the right size for sharing with friends. A truly delightful experience!

Had umeshu in Japan, and really wanted to taste it again after I left the country.This was a different flavour to what I had remembered from my experience in Japan, and this was in fact made in Milan but still delicious.The thing about Takara plum wine (which I am informed by my Japanese friend is wrongly referred to as a 'wine' when it is in fact a sour) is that once I got a taste for it, I started to crave it!It is very sour, but mellows when mixed with cola which is an very complementary flavour and I'd highly recommend this combination.This plum sour is more like a liquor than a wine, and can be kept in the fridge for a while, which maybe wouldn't be possible for a wine.I'd like some more...

Bought this product for a family dinner, and to have my family try it out, and the reception was very positive, quite tangy and full of flavour. Its not overly expensive in anyway and I would say really god quality for the price.

Ordered via prime, delivery arrived quickly and checked my phone ID. I popped this bad boy open and started my weekend feeling like I was waking through a meadow of roses. The taste is clean and crisp fruity sweet taste that has a hint of sweets/candy . It dances on your tongue with minimal bitterness or after bite unlike other wines. It’s great for eating with greasy and fatty foods. ( I pair mine with Chinese food or fatty tuna nirgi . It doesn’t taste like wine and that’s the wonderful and scary aspect of it- I could happily drink the entire bottle in one night with out knowing.

Umeshu is delicious!If you’ve not tried it I cannot recommend it enough! Imagine a regular fruity wine but with a less chemical taste

Lovely, light and great over ice. Sweet but ever so slightly sour which makes a really nice flavour. If you’ve never had plum wine before, this would be an ideal starter wine. It’s nice for a treat but would definitely make my wallet weep if I could buy as much as I wished without worrying about the price.

Gifted a bottle after my brother and family returned from Japan. My goodness it's delicious. Love it. Be warned it's very very moreish. Do not expect a bottle to last long & even if drinking alone!!
