10 Watt Cross Band Repeater
Built a cross band repeater box out of an ammo can. Bought the 12v cigarette lighter battery eliminator for it and hooked into a Li battery. Runs for days. Little radio really puts out! Programmed with CHIRP.

Radio failed in 5 months. 0 product support
I bought this radio Nov 2022. It stopped working well after my Amazon return window but way before the warranty expired. Tried support through Amazon link, direct email, Fonghoo website. Crickets. My radio was a nightstand radio, never saw any rugged use, never been dirty. Just flat failed after about 5 months.I can read and have a little sense. Did everything I could to troubleshoot it myself but nada. Battery holds charge etc... Radio just fails to power on now.I waited to leave this review because I simply forgot it existed while waiting on a response from Fonghoo. Will not buy from them again.I have several radios of different brands. I've had two TYTs fail on me, a uv8000e, and the 9800 mobile radio failed twice.Spend the extra $30 and pick up a budget Yaesu. No more tyts for me..... Except my trusty uv88, its been chugging along for a few years now and its my camping radio.

My favorite handheld for years
Solid build quality, very tough radios with impressive features for the money. I bought a pair in 2018 that are still working perfectly despite being dropped more times than I can remember. The original batteries still hold charge and work fine as well. I have a Baofeng that is in the same price range, and these beat it hands down in terms of reception, durability, and usability. The cross band repeat feature is cool, and the radios program easily with CHIRP.

Fail to make customer side effects
The radio was a good radio, but they did not send the connecting cable to it like was ordered are the microphone so therefore, I cannot give them a better rating than idea cause they did not fulfill their end of the bargain
