Klein Tools ET310KIT AC Circuit Breaker Finder Kit, Electric Tester, GFCI Tester, Leads, Adapters and Case

This was more than I usually spend on tools that are not in daily use, but I have no regrets. Moved into a patio home purchased from a pair of sisters when their father passed. Obviously, they had a limited knowledge of the DIY work he had performed. He had labeled all of the breakers in the main panel. Some of these I could read, some not. The first question I had is why the outlet in the second bathroom was not a GFCI. Using the Klein tools, I determined that it was connected to a GFCI circuit in the main bathroom. This also explained why this outlet was still hot when the breaker for the bathroom light was off. I've since added an outlet in another room by connecting to one on the other side of the wall, once again Using the Klein tools to determine which breaker to turn off. The quality of these tools is excellent. They are obviously professional grade and a comprehensive instruction manual is included.

Makes for less sleuthing about the service panel & minimizes the overt tension when working about live wires. Also helps save the voice when tracking individual outlets, especially in this old house where not much is quite what you’d expect nor is as it seems. Nicely done with the various components and storage case. I wish Klein would have done sort of storage for some of their other electrical tools sets.

This is well made, and works well. I have used networking toners for many years and I like the accessories they give you with this kit.I do have a complaint, but it’s not with the product. As others have said the battery provided sucks. The battery mine came with already had a little corrosion, but I still wanted to test it. So I cleaned off the corrosion with a brush. It had enough juice to turn it on, but then immediately shut back off. Bought a new battery and works as it should.I’d say it would be worth it to pay a little extra to have a good working battery, or I would have loved to have a usb version. I think that would rock.

Works great. My only regret is not having bought one of these years ago.

Great add to your toolbox

Works great but had to replace the included battery with a new one.I was eager to use this to map the breakers in my house. When I tried it with the included battery I kept getting a bunch of false readings. I checked the voltage on the battery and it read 9.6v which should be good.I replaced the battery with a brand new one and it started working like a charm. It also worked well at identifying GFCI outlets. Range is also good as I was able to identify an outlet three floors away in my attic. My circuit panel is in the basement. Overall am happy with the performance. Just knocking off one star due to the quality of the supplied battery.

Using this kit helps one find the correct circuit breaker in a very short time, not guessing by tripping each breaker at a time to find the correct breaker.

Works great on panels that are not properly labeled on breakers . Now process of elimination on outlets and light fixtures.
