Q: How to get it to pair with the mobile app? Got it to pair with the remote, but the mobile app (and other bluetooth devices) can't find it

You need the smart hub that works with it, the only way it works with the app and full automation. Search for Hub 1s, it is $24.99. You pair the Curtbots with smart hub, then app looks for smart hub devices. You can then group them and more.

Q: Do you need a hub for this? Can you hook it up to Alexa?

Currently, to connect with Alexa and Google Assistant, we need Hub 1S, as it does not yet support Matter. There is a tutorial within the app that explains how to connect Alexa. .75" is not available yet, we are adding more hook sizes, so stay tuned for updates.
