Solid Hardware, But Let Down by Software and Customer Service
purchased the MOZA R9 V2 Direct Drive Servo, and while the hardware itself is excellent, the overall experience has been marred by serious issues with the software and customer service. The servo performs as advertised when everything is working, but the software is glitchy and unreliable. A recent change to the software caused my entire setup to stop functioning. I spent countless hours troubleshooting, trying to resolve the issue without success. When I reached out to customer service, the experience was nothing short of frustrating. Despite providing ample information about the problem, I was repeatedly asked for the same “proof” that it wasn’t working, with no meaningful assistance provided. It felt like they were more interested in deflecting than solving the issue. For anyone considering this product, I would advise looking elsewhere for sim racing equipment with better software stability and a more responsive customer support team. The hardware is great, but the lack of reliable software and effective customer service makes it hard to recommend.

Well Worth the Price
Coming from a Logitech G920 I was reluctant to drop this kind of money on a direct drive but now knowing the quality, I would’ve paid double. Multiple seconds shaved off my lap times instantly. The direct drive is actually smaller than you’d expect but it still makes sense packs quite the punch. I would recommend spending that extra money for 9Nm over the 5Nm of the R5. I’m a noob to sim racing and am finding 9Nm is both manageable and ideal (actually I’m using it at about 7Nm right now).Device is very easy to setup, hardware and wires are included. The external power supply is quite beefy but nothing crazy.Personally I’ve opted for an NRG quick release (I do not recommend) and a drift wheel. The R9 is seamlessly compatible with after market quick releases and wheels. At least for the parts I chose, no software setup for the aftermarket partsOverall, I could not recommend this direct drive more. For the price it absolutely revolutionizes your driving experience experience. I would say this is the definitive entry level direct drive for anyone who’s trying to get serious about sim racing. If you’re using an all in one like a Logitech G920 this is an essential upgrade. I mainly go rally driving and the R9 is excellent at providing the road conditions you need. Say goodbye to losing the back end, the R9 has perfect force feedbackTABLE MOUNT: the table mount is very solid rigid metal which is to be expected. All parts in contact with the table have padding. But I do have a few issues. Firstly, there is certainly still a slight amount of play in the wheel. Left to right (the way you’d turn the wheel) is as rigid as you need. But front to back leaves a little to be desired. You should also note this clamp is large form factor. The 2 screw clamps which secure onto the bottom of the table are longer than they need to be. I’ve found I have to lower the chair to give my legs enough clearance. But it’s worked so far for me
