You have to cycle through, power off, then start again. I like the neck plates, and it is very convenient to have a comfortable device around your neck, keeping you cool.

So this is a decent neck fan. I like that it has 5 speed settings instead of just 3 like my other neck fans but I did notice it doesn’t blow as hard on the highest setting like my other fans. It also dies quickly if used for a while. It’s quieter than my other fan, I will say that. I don’t love that there are no vents on the neck, makes me hot wearing this neck fan. Since I only paid $20 for it, I gave 4 stars but there are improvements that need made to its design.
