Great Product - Tough installation without a lift.
This is a very nice product at a great price! But unless you have a lift, the installation is hard! It's a simple process, but there is not much room underneath to turn your body to drill holes, etc. Again, a very nice product for the price though!

Some drilling requirements
Pros:Very sturdyDefinitely adds value to vehicleEasy to follow instructionsAll parts are stampedOver all time to install was 180 minutesCons:Had to do some drilling to secure bracketsIf you don't have the correct drill bit ( yes, size and metal drilling bit) than this project will take much longer. Beautiful sturdy
I bought these running boards take them to the shop and they told me that these are great running boards solid and sturdy but the problem is it takes some skills to put them on like real pain in the ass.It took like 2h30 to complete the job and they had to drill some holes to install them. but once finished it looks so beautiful changed the whole look of the car and make it look wider and bigger. It came well packaged so nothing broke

Great running boards!
I absolutely LOVE the way my running boards look on my 2018 explorer! For the price it is one of the least expensive yet awesome upgrades you can put on the car. I have some advice for you DIY-er’s though: This is MUCH easier if you have someone to help and/or a hydraulic lift in your shop, which will allow you to stand under the car. If you’re like me and you don’t have a shop, it means you’ll be jacking the car up for installation. THIS IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE but if you’re fat and out of shape (again, like me) then getting up and down from your back and scooching under the car will be super annoying….and possibly painful. If I knew someone willing to do this I would rather have paid them $150 and saved my Saturday. However, if you insist on doing it then follow the directions, be safe and here are a couple of additional tips:1. Read the instructions all the way through before doing anything. One of the cons is that the instructions give you two or three pages of steps to follow and it puts all of the photos in the back of the guide causing you to flip pages the entire time. Familiarization with what’s ahead will make this much easier. Trust me.2. Open your hatch, grab a white towel and lay out, separate and inventory all of your screws, washers and parts. Divide them by size (6mm, 8mm, 10mm, and 12mm) so that you don’t grab the wrong size and end up having to go back and redo steps (again, like me)3. Have a telescopic magnet handy. You will be putting T screws in tubular steel under the car…….if you’re not careful, you will knock the T screws into the tubing where they will languish for a hundred years until someone cuts up the car for scrap metal and it falls out leaving them to wonder “How did that get in there?”. If you have to drive the car to go get a magnet (again, like me) it will likely be impossible to retrieve as the road vibrations will cause the screw to recess farther into the abyss from whence it will ne’er return. Too dramatic? You should have seen me when it happened.4. Remember the size ratchets you use. I don’t see it in the instructions but I HIGHLY recommend that you go back after a couple weeks of driving and re-tighten all of your screws (they will need it). If you’re in shape, this should take a few minutes. If you’re fat (AGAIN, like me) it will still only take a few minutes…….but it will hurt.Good luck!

Great looking running boards
The running boards are good looking and sturdy (the mounting brackets are made for strength). The installation instructions are somewhat hard to follow since the pictures for the installation are on different pages. If the instructions had pictures embedded with the written instructions it would make it easier to follow.

a lot of steps to install it
Well the products is good because the metals pieces to install it are solid metal. However the manual is hard to read for me and I just got it so I am scared to start putting it together. If anyone knows any video to help me it would be appreciated.
