Great value keyboard!!!
I am not sure why so many negative reviews but I love this keyboard.I needed a smaller keyboard for my desk because I have 2 21-inch monitors plus a bunch of papers and other things on my desk. I didn't want a bulky keyboard or one that had unnecessary add-ons. I chose the Logitech Deluxe 250 because it was small, compact, and had a good look to it.It came in a simple box and unpacking was simple. Installing it was easy as well, no drivers or software required. The keys have a good feel to them. The spacing is good also. I have now been using this keyboard for over 5 years and have no issues with stuck keys or broken keys. For the price this was a great purchase. If you want a keyboard that's compact and reliable this is the one to get.pros:*small and compact*easy installation and no software required*built to last*good value for the pricecons:*none

I like this keyboard!
I really, really, really like the old-fashioned IBM "clicky" keyboards. I've had several over the years and when I needed a new one, I even searched for and bought them used. This time, not only couldn't I find an old IBM, but I needed a USB connection. I thought I'd try this one. After all, it's a Logitech, the ratings aren't bad and it was certainly inexpensive enough.Although it's basically everything that the old IBMs weren't, I really like it. It has a good touch, the keys aren't too big or too small, and I find that I'm as good a keyboardist on this model as I am on any. The BACKSPACE, SHIFT and ENTER keys are good-sized, and that's one of the things that I wanted.I'd recommend it, and I'd buy it again.

Just good
USB keyboard, plug and play. I didn't need to install anything. It "Works with Vista", however it also works with Windows XP. As mentioned in other reviews the keys of the Spacebar, Ctrl, Alt, & Windows keys are slightly convex/rounded. Not that it matters. I don't notice any difference. As far as the complaint that the keys are soft to the touch, I don't have a problem with it and again can't tell any difference from other keyboards I've used. So far, I like it, I can type just as fast and accurate as ever and it works. Made by Logitech, so you know it can't be a complete piece of junk.

Works with some oddities
This is what I eventually chose after shopping around for a simple USB keyboard (without all the fancy extra buttons or weird high-tech ergonomic shapes) to replace my old Logitech PS/2 keyboard. The main differences I notice on this new one are these. (1) The keys are a little softer and don't stick up as high from the based of the keyboard, which early on caused me to miss the Escape key a couple times (used a lot in the particular text editor I use). I eventually got used to reaching the extra centimeter or so. (2) The Ctrl and Alt keys are convex instead of concave. I.e. Ctrl and Alt feel like raised bubbles (like the space bar) instead of sunken in like the rest of the keys. (3) The Caps Lock, Num Lock, and Scroll Lock lights are each labeled with a single small picture (instead of the words "Caps Lock", "Num Lock", ...) which makes it hard to tell which one is which.Overall, I'm content. I've been using this for a little over a week to develop computer software, which means heavy typing and all kinds of weird key combinations, and I haven't been too distracted from doing my normal work.

Product was not what was advertised
I ordered an USB keyboard with USB connectivity. The description even says that connectivity is USB. I received a keyboard with the old style round port connector. It will not work with my laptop. I did not order a mouse with but got one with the old round mouse port. A mouse was not included in the description.

My Shift is Stuck.
I loved the price of this keyboard. Add to the fact, that it's from Logitech, a name that I recognize, and I was full on board! The keyboard is not so noisy, however it's not that quiet, either. The only real issue that I have with this keyboard is, from time to time, the Shift key gets stuck (what a metaphor for my life right now). I guess you get what you pay for. All in all, it's not bad. It gets the job done! It you expect perfection, don't buy this keyboard. But if you are content with getting the job done efficient- and effectively, BUY THIS!

Great value
This keyboard was ordered as a replacement to the Dell one that came with my computer about 4 years ago. I've had it for roughly one month, and I've been really please so far. The size and key placement are standard, and it doesn't have extended edges that would make it hard to fit on my small keyboard tray. The keys are actually quieter than my old Dell keyboard, so I got an unexpected upgrade. On top of all that, it's pretty darn cheap!
