This unit is nicely thought out and well built. The combination of triple level (horizontal, vertical and 45 degree), ruler, measuring tape, and laser - work well together. Frankly I was expecting a cheaply-made toy, but this arrived already loaded with the batteries plus a very useful picture hanging tool to help with a varied of pic hanging methods. Great set!The tape measure automatically locks when extended, then retracts on the push of a button. It makes a lot sense: I don't want to have to fight the tape to keep it open, then lock it to measure.Overall, well thought out, well built, well packaged, and well shipped. An excellent job.

I love this combo pack of necessary tools. This has found a permanent home in my toolbox. Even for this lesbian, it’s super easy to find studs! Just slide it against your wall and lights tell you everything. The laser level is right on target, it’s not big and clunky. Small and very effective for hanging shelves or pictures. Comes with a handy tape measure so it cuts down on having to juggle multiple things. Awesome quality on both tools and would highly recommend.

When I bought it thought it's going to be really good quality in comparing with the cheaper ones, this one feels cheap quality and also the ruler and every marking is just a print, it will fade in some stage for sure.If you're looking for accuracy and it's critical? this won't be it, It says it says vertical and horizontal, umm, not sure about that, I have to point in not far than an inch to the wall to see the other line or even maybe less.If you're going to use it for picture hanging only, maybe its ok .. but other than that .. up to you.Hope this helps.Thanks

Stud finder worksThe level bubble on the level is not true

This level was very easy to use for just one person. I recently bought some shelves and used this to hang them. The laser light is easily visible and is a great guide. The added measuring tape is one of my favorite features. This is because if you are ever trying to center something on a wall the included tape measure makes it easy to do so. No more eyeballing and then getting it slightly off center just to have to rehang something. My shelves are now all up, they are level, and look great!

I rarely write a full blown review like this. I usually only give stars. But this product simply does not work. I have now put multiple holes in my walls due to the inaccuracy of both of these products. The level bubble somehow gets stuck in position at times making it unreliable as a level. The stud finder is completely inaccurate and is the main reason for all the holes I have had to fill in my walls. it registers studs where there is none, makes studs appear significantly larger than they are, and all around is just not useful as a stud finder at all. I have found that tapping on the wall is more accurate than using the stud finder. Remarkably disappointed in this product. Damn shame, I really needed these the last few weeks and did not realize how untrustworthy there were until it was too late.

Things in a tape measure I am unwilling to compromise on anymore is having a good locking mechanism. This has it. I got this for my son who just graduated and is setting up his own tool set.Extra batteries are included for the laser level but you need to supply your own 9V battery for the stud finder. Since my son is still in an apartment, he's not going to use the stud finder much, anyway. However, he's an engineer and a little particular about hanging things on the wall. The level is small enough to place on top of a picture to ensure it's level and still fairly accurate for his needs.I'm happy I found the combo and he's happy with the gift.

This stud finder does not work. I tried different batteries, different walls, it was just completely inaccurate at finding a stud. Would go off where there wasn’t one and be silent over top of one. And then it would not repeat at the same spots. Ended up drilling several unnecessary holes in the wall under its poor advice. Cool level though. If you just want the level it might be worth it, but you will need to buy another stud finder.
