Decent 300 gallon pool heater
I was looking for a heater for my kids pool since everything is closed this summer and decided to go with this submersable 1500 Watt one. **Disclaimer** This is obviously not ment for this so don't be an idiot and melt a hole in the bottom of your pool or hurt your children. Never have it in the pool when your kids are around.I fastened it to the bottom of a clay saucer drilled a hole and ran threaded rod through it to act as an anchor. This made it very sturdy. I filled the pool to the line about 300 gallons and plugged it in the thermometer had a reading of 68 degrees. after it was plugged in for 2 hours it rose up to 73 degrees. This was all on a cloudy day with an air temperature of 70 degrees. As for power comsumption I pay .12cents per kWh so if I ran this in the morning for 5 hours it would only cost me 90 cents and I would get about a 10 degree heat rise in the temperature of the pool.Overall i'm super happy with the initial results and look forward to using it.

Great for tile and stone workers in the winter.
Over a year now and it's perfect. Highly recommend for tile installers

Great to have one at the horse barn!
2 year update: A must-have at any barn, farm, or ranch. We had a freeze in early 2024, with 60 hours of 17 degrees. I put this in the large horse trough, and it kept the water just warm the whole time. Happy, drinking horses. If you try this, periodically check your trough and make sure the temp isn't too hot if you have a smaller trough.Original review: This thing will warm a trough of water very nicely. I personally don't think I'd leave it on all night unattended, however. This is different from a deicer, use this to warm water to the desired temp. In a trough, mine doesn't get very hot, just good and warm. I accidentally left it on all day once. It was in an old, empty one of those big protein tubs for cattle, maybe 35 gallons or so. Had some nice warm water that was steaming a bit at the end of the day. I think every barn should have at least 1 on hand.

#1 camping accessory after a generator to run it
First and foremost I absolutely love this!!!!The temperature regulation isn’t exact. It turns on and off several times throughout the process but if you patiently wait it will get there. What to expect?Well I heated about 9 gallons of water from 60degrees F to 101 degrees F in about 45-50 minutes. Can probably do 5 in about 30 minutes.Went at an RV spot with free power I plugged in a 5 gallon bucket of water for a few hours and it was too hot to touch.Overall it’s worth the wait to have the luxury of hot water to wash up yourself or dishes.Just buy it dude, nobody likes washing dishes in cold water!

Didn’t last long
This was my first purchase and was not impressed. It only lasted a month or two. It overheated quickly and burnt up, the one I got has started to rust.

Worked Great, But Short Lifespan
This immersion heater worked well for the first few months—heated water quickly and was easy to use. However, after about four months, it suddenly stopped working. I expected it to last longer, especially with light use. While it was great while it lasted, durability could be improved. If you need a temporary or occasional-use heater, it’s a good option, but don’t expect long-term reliability. Would give five stars if it lasted longer!

Heather for inflatable pool in the garages for kiddos
Hi there, I bought a “ Intex Swim Center Clearview Aquarium Inflatable Pool, 62.5" X 62.5" X 19.5", for Ages 3+” that has a 90 gallon water volume. I have filled with water for 2/3 of it, so I assume about 60 gallons at 40 Fahrenheit approx. In the garage I have approx 60 Fahrenheit and leaving the heather on all time 24/7, I got water reaching about 90-95 Fahrenheit after less than 24h (approx $5 electricity). The 1500w is a good wattage, with a normal 1000w I am afraid you would not be able to heat it up enough to enjoy during winter conditions. I use it with an extension cord rated 1850W, nothing below this rating would be good for the 1500W continuous use for 24h.I have put some insulation material on the bottom of the pool to reduce the heat dispersion on the floor that is quite cold. An insulated cover on top as well to help to reduce the dispersion and save electricity too.Consider an ongoing $2.5 per day (1.5 KWh x12h x 15 cent per KWh in PA) for a maintenance use so if your plan is to leave it always on during winter nights you may end up with about $75 electricity bill increase in a month. It has ground wire but you definitely it is need to have a power socket with a lifesaving differential device or you risk electrocution in case of (rare) malfunction (if there is a differential current between negative and positive, it switch off the power)..Product is solid and well manufactured. overall happy to have it so every other week I put the pool in the garage and my kiddos plays for some hours per day considering the Covid-19 pandemia we are facing at the moment.Other reviews tell that the product last few weeks or months, so I intend to write here should the product fail. Until nothing else is reported please assume the product does its job 12h per day during nights since 10 April 2020.
