Great improvements on an already amazing product line
Saint Seiya debuted with the Myth Cloth line earlier in the 2000's. As you may find on the internet, there are dozens of different toys on this line, each from a different character or story arc. This figure represents Hyoga's God Cloth or Kamui, and is the final cloth this character wore, and its also one of the strongest cloths in existance. Revived thanks to the blood of Athenea, and using the miracle power lying dormant in each human, Hyoga's V3 cloth turned into this amazing piece of art. This one sadly, saw little use, as it appeared during the last scenes of the Hades arc, which is currently the last completed arc. Since then, it has not appeared. Now, this figure is based upon the Anime version, thus the silver colour with gold lining. The original Manga edition can be found with the letters O.C.E. or Original Color Edition next to it, and the main, and only difference, aside from the collectors point of view (and price) is that it is completely gold. So, lets go to the figure. This one comes in the now traditional book style box that debuted with the first Myth Cloths. The main difference is that it is longer, or to be more precise, 2 Myth Cloth boxes putted side by side. Each side comes with a set of pieces. As usual, most of the Object pieces come on the right sleeve, while the Saint and its Cloth on the left one. Each side comes with a piece of art on the back, that you can use if you like to have on the back of the figure once fully dressed. Now, in my previous review, I was looking at Seiya's God Cloth. Now, what I had to say about that, was that most of its pieces were plastic, and in fact that was a downer considering that it was not a cheap figure. Luckily, Bandai fixed that, giving Hyoga's Cloth an almost complete set of die cast metal pieces. In fact, only extra details, such as the wings on the leg pieces, the tiara and the wings come in plastic. And this last ones are more than understandably since it would add a lot of unnecesary weight to the figure. It has a G3 body, which means that most articulations are covered, and that it has a lot of articulation added to it. Both shoulders have an unique circular articulation that allows a lot of movement. At the same time, the shoulder have a sort of cover piece that hides the articulation from sight. The arms show much improved desing over the past ones as well. The elbows now show no articulation mark at all, and the shoulders have covers to help hide the rotating pieces. The head is also improved, with great quality and details. An extra face comes in the box, which shows Hyoga whitout his right eye as in the story. The hair is great, and is no longer made out of common plastic. Now a new type of resin is used to give it a much better design and feel, with no rough edges showing up anywhere. The torso has been improved to allow more rotacions and flexibility. Legs are similar to past gens with a few improvements. The figure comes with a booklet, all in japanese which is a downer, but it will help you build the cloth. It shows you were each piece goes, and what they are for. With it, you can easily build either the Cloth or Object in a matter of minutes. Be patient, as this is no old style Cloth, and pieces have to be slided into place and given a little, not to much pressure so that they fit. Some pieces, which are both knee covers, the shield and the wings are fitted into identations on the figure. It's easy, and unlike with Seiya, the knee pads will not fall over and are fitted easily in place. There is an extra pair of hands exclusive to this character, to have him perform his Aurora Execution Attack move which is a great extra. To allow this you will have to make use of an smaller chest piece that comes in the box.All in all, this figure is great. The problems that Seiya had are no longer here, most pieces are die cast metal and the figure is really stable, even with all the weight on it. A Myth EX Stand Base is recommended to fully enjoy the joys of this piece of art.And to all that buy this, congratulations, and let your Cosmos burn!

Not blue.
Beware of the pictures used to market this toy. The cloth is not blue (not even lightly blue or purple), it’s plain silver. As silver as it gets. In fact, Seiya’s god cloth is bluer than this one (though in a more greenish tone). I have both now (see picture attached).Of course, all these figures are amazing. But, if your goal is adding a saint with a blueish cloth, don’t think about this one. Now, there’s a newer version of both Seiya and Hyoga’s god cloths that “appear” to be blue (definitely blue). Those are more expensive versions though.
