I'm a Fan of this heater
I have been looking for a portable propane heater. I thought about other brands but saw this branded by Dewalt and thought I would give it a try. I cannot compare it to other propane heaters since this my first. Unboxing and set up was easy. No parts to put together other than installing the two 1lb propane tanks and Dewalt battery.Like other reviews, it took me a few minutes to realize the ignitor requires a AAA battery (not provided - once that was installed, it started up). The instructions are not that great. This does require a 20v Dewalt battery to run the fan and light (not provided). The doors for the propane bottles and ignitor/usb ports are a little flimsy. It requires two 1lb propane bottles (not provided).I live in a block house in FL. The temps dropped to 20 degrees at night this week. I decided to test this heater. I placed the heater in a 10 x 10 room and opened the window to get the temp down. I placed the heater in the room with 2 full 1lb bottles and two carbon monoxide detectors. I closed the window, interior door, turned the heater on low, turned on the fan and left the room (although the instructions advise do not leave the unit unattended). The room heated up within 10 minutes to about 73 degrees. Overall, the two 1lb propane bottles lasted about 6 hours on low, the CO detectors did not go off in the enclosed space, and 4 amp 20v battery for the fan still has 3 out of 3 charge lights. The fan does have a noticeable hum while running.I ran the heater until the bottles were empty. I installed two new bottles to try it outside (don't forget to turn off the temp or propane will start once the bottle is installed). Moving it while it is running will shut off the heater, but the fan will keep blowing unless you turn it off. Outside, if there is a slight breeze the pilot will shut off. It puts out a lot of heat, but you needed to be close to the heater to get the benefits. The fan does not really help if there is a breeze. I needed to put the heater up wind, so the breeze pushed the heat to me. Not sure if it would have stayed on in wind.Next tried it in my shop 12 X 15 no insulation. It heated the shop within 20 mins. No CO alarms went off. I ran it on high and it got really warm. However, the 2 bottles only lasted about an hour and a half.I have purchased the 20lb bottle hose attachment but have not got it yet. I will try it and update the review. I also purchased the 1lb bottle refill adapter. Easy to use and a money saver compared to purchasing new bottles when they run out.Overall, I do like the heater for the short time I've owned it. The fan is a great option for this type of heater. I wish the fan had more than one speed and was a little quieter. The tip over feature works. The front grill will get hot with use, so be careful. I like the portability and it does not weigh a lot. Do follow the instructions and hold the valve down for 30 seconds when lighting the pilot. I light is bright and a nice option. I did not use the USB options but I'm sure they work. I thought about hooking up an USB fan in front of the heater but didn't. It feels well-built and solid although the doors could be a little thicker. It can be hung on a wall if desired. This heater does cost more than most propane heaters but I'm happy with it for the short time I have owned it.

Will definitely put it some heat
I feel like this is a little bulkier than I thought from looking at these photos, but I do like it's size and it feels pretty sturdy.Upon reading the instructions,(that dewalt booklet you get from all dewalt tools), it doesn't say anywhere that you will need a "AAA" battery underneath the actual sparking button, which they refer to as the "pulse ignition button" In fact, i only found out about it needing a battery in the Troubleshooting section, and it says that if it doesn't spark, "The AA battery may be dead"(It's a typo, I guess, as you actually need to provide a "AAA" battery). After that bit of investigative discovery, it fires up and works quite easily. Another bit of info, that is probably obvious everyone else be m but me. . . The 20v batteries that fit in the battery compartment, have NOTHING to do with the space heating features of this space heater(which sound silly now to think that I thought it did). The battery only powers the light on the handle, the fan, and the USB outlets. However, overall I'm still pretty satisfied with this purchase and product.

Works well !!
The heater has worked great. I already had DeWalt 5.0 Ah batteries for other tools so I used one in this heater and the light and fan worked as advertised. Unlike some of the reviews I have read, the instruction manual was thorough and did include directions for inserting the included battery in the igniter. The heater lit immediately (I followed the directions) and put out lots of heat even on low. This was all inside, so I can’t say how it does outside and/or in the wind. Well pleased and would do it again.

Reliable!
So I've had this for 2 years now and it's been very durable for some of the abuse I've put it through. So far it's run for 1 week straight (swapped tanks) during 50 below temps in South Dakota and as I write this review it's on day 3 of -20s, it's been great for supplementing heat in the house so the furnace is not being overworked. You can definitely use a battery to turn on the fan to help circulate the heat or charge your phone. What it's missing is a built in radio and it'd be perfect for camping, ice fishing etc lol
