Flabbergasted
My precious wife found 2 really wonderful pipes at a garage sale and bargained down to $5 for both! That made 3 nice pipes and several... Not nice ones in my collection. And then most of them were stolen (don't leave luggage in car on roadside...)Funny thing is, there is one pipe that I'm glad I didn't lose - A $3 hardwood pipe by Missouri meerschaum that I got as my first pipe. Regardless of the quality of all my other pipes this thing somehow smokes just as nice as the rest or better. That being my experience, and my budget being what it was, I decided to try and replace my precious pipes with one single corn cob pipe. What more can I say? It has accomplished it with flying colors. I just love the way the pipe feels, I love that I can set it down and it will balance, I love the price, I love that it was made in America, I love that its corn cob and sort of trendy and fun and old school, and I love love love the way it smokes. I smoked one other pipe that I like smoking as well as this. And I didn't even on that one! So that makes this my favorite type and I have recommended to my friends highly already. My sense of style has changed a bit since I started the pipe smoking thing about 3 years ago periods I think I would have not like the orange stem at first, but it's a nice dense plastic the feels good on finger and lip. I trimmed it easily to make smooth - worth it when the savings were dramatically in my favor. Now I'm not worried to bring my favorite pipe back packing, on vacation, even loaning it!! ! (I'm not even worried about loaning it people! $10 is such a deal!)Does any pipe smoker have any business not only in one of these? I feel they're simply obligatory. Read the reviews by the pipe and just see how much you love it. There are so many styles and looks and it all a great quality at a great price made in America by the same people have been making them for the last eon or so. It's a best case scenario by far

Lightweight and quality for a cheap cob
Lightweight compared to briar so clenches very comfortably. Bowl is an ok size. Stem is soft but a good fit. This will last for awhile if cared for. It's a great work horse to accompany the collection.

Good pipe for own blends or OTC tobacco
This is a corn cob pipe unlike some of the seasoned and coated Briar Pipes this has no coating inside the bowl and you build you own cake. How you want it pending how you smoke your pipe this cob will get hot I smoke mine easy and it gets warm just a bit, this is a good entry level before moving up to more of the expensive pipes on the market. Ok for non aromatic tobacco as for filters any 6mm filter will fit this rather it be Dr. Grabow or the Medico filters 6mm will work for any Missouri Meerschaum regardless which one you own or buy a 6mm filter will work as they all are pretty much the same how they make them. As far the how I received mine in the mail it had no card package and was just thrown in the bag no bubble wrap just thrown atleast it was not damaged in shipping. Sold by MeJay Global I just hope this pipe is not from a grab bag filled with factory seconds sold for $26.99 next time I'll buy from Amazon Direct for my cob and see how that comes I like my products unopened and a feeling of did I just buy off a booster and support a theft ring I don't like see things without a package or box from new factory made products.

Not a Legend
I've smoked MM Legends for years. I ordered two of these. The photo in the web page is of a real Legend, which has a cylindrical bowl with a slightly rounded base. You can also see this Legend on the Missouri Meerschaum web site. Both the pipes I received from Amazon have a dramatically tapered bowl with sharp edges on the bottom. The stem is also inserted higher up on the pipe, making the usable bowl significantly smaller. You might well like this pipe, but I don't, and it's not a Legend.[Update] Close, but no cigar. I thought I'd give them another chance so I ordered to more Legend pipes. The picture with the two pipes shows what I received. The bottom one is a legend, the top one is not (notice the tapered bowl, which will hold less tobacco). They both have the same model number on the bottom, but are not the same pipe.

Just Joined the Meerschaum Rockers Club!
First go at a corn cob pipe and I am absolutely stunned by it's awesomeness. I don't care if you have a $1,000 pipe you've given a pet name too, or if your Bugati has a pipe lighter or a pipe layer...the simple fact is you should....and you are missing out if you don't have one of these Missouri Meerschaum Lengend Corn Cobs. I was intrigued by the amazing number of 5 star reviews for such an inexpensive pipe. Practically unanimous.. Why would anyone want to put their tobacco in a $7 corn cob instead of a $120 Peterson, Savinelli, or other high end pipe they might own. I purchased 2. They arrived today and HOly Sheet-cow are they good. This is one of those moments when an elusive question is finally answered to it's full extent, and the pleasure of the mystery reveals itself in the most satisfying way. I own some mighty fine smoking pipes which I thoroughly enjoy and care for, but these $7 Meerschaums are now in the lineup and batting 3rd!!! Break them in slow and easy....enjoy how sweet they are....love them....and they will last and love you back...
