TWSBI GO Smoke Fountain Pen Nib F

This is a great pen for daily use. It feels a little chunky and plasticky, but it writes like a charm--a little on the wet side. Huge reservoir, which is super easy to fill with the plunger. Like it doesn't scream "high end", but it gets ink on the page like a champ. I see why TWSBI has a great reputation!

Overall a nice pen. But the nib is western fine, which is kind of a medium.

I suspect it is an anomaly, but the nib on mine was just awful, skipped, etc. Plus it is a medium nib that when it did work, it wrote like a broad tip. I tried to remedy it, but I finally just tossed it. Since a replacement nib costs as much as a whole new pen, I ended up buying another TWSBI Go and a Fine point at that. It writes just fine and the line is pretty close to a medium. So ... I am happy with the replacement. Just two stars because they shipped me a dud.

The pen is easy to fill but very ‘clunky’ looking. It doesn’t write as smoothly as I expected but I am brand spanking new to fountain pens so my expectations may be too high. I bought a Pilot Metropolitan at the same time and so far prefer the Metro to the GO. I may just need more experience using it.
