Not expensive for a VSD. The unit works well once you figure out how to program it.YouTube is invaluable in this regard.A case in point: The unit should not be started and stopped by switching off the Mains power supply. It should be controlled by means of the Run and Stop buttons on the panel front or if you want to remote control it you should program parameter P11 to External Port (2) and connect a normally open (dry contact) between COM and X4.The unit can be programmed to operate in multiple ways (somewhat mind boggling) so is extremely versatile.Be aware that there are different models:AT1 : single phase input, three phase outputAT2 : single phase input, single phase outputThere are also different power outputs so you should check the rating of your motor before you make your selection.Be aware that when you reduce the speed of the motor the motor internal cooling fan will run slower and produce less cooking air flow.All units have at least one internal cooling fan (higher output units have two) so that so long as the unit is not enclosed there is no need for an external fan.All in all a great little unit for not much money so no reason not to recommend it.

After much research I bought this VFD to control an old Myford lathe powered by a single phase in/single phase out induction motor. It worked brilliantly, easy to wire up and very quiet with no nasty whining noises. Had to protect the DRO cables with silver foil to prevent interference but I have had no problems since doing that.
