Good addition, Some challenges
My first impression was less than enthusiastic. The packaging was bent, and the hardware was scattered throughout the box. There were two empty plastic bags inside the packaging. Then, when I mounted the middle handle, the washers wouldn't fit. Actually, they weren't needed on the center piece. I had to hold the nut with a pair of pliers and tighten with a screw driver. Once that was done, the rest went fairly easily. I drilled holes in the two top corners, put the bolts in to hold them in place, while I drilled the two bottom corners. I used a 3/16" socket to tighten down the nuts while I held the heads steady with a screw driver. This was the easiest part. I used the washers on the four connecting corners. Overall, I think this is a good purchase, and much more economical than buying what's currently on the market.

Nice, high quality additions to the ol' kayak crate
I own the double and triple version of this for two different crates I use in two different kayaks. I actually really like these. They're a little overpriced, but be careful about buying cheaper versions at Walmart, etc., because the plastic on the cheaper versions is not as thick/durable. That being said, if you're handy with PVC, you can easily make your own for a fraction of the price. I've done it before, but just didn't feel like devoting the time. The reason I dinged the review down two stars is that with the double version, the included bolts are literally a full 1/2 inch too short to attach it to the milk crate. So, in addition to already considering these a little overpriced, I had to go buy longer stainless steel bolts to complete the assembly. The triple version came with the appropriately sized bolts, but some of the reviews say they didn't. Just don't be surprised if you have to go buy proper length hardware to complete the assembly.

Handy as all get out!
I have one on each side of my milk crate. Couldn't imagine my crate not having at least one. Even if you only take one or two rods you will find a use for the extra rod holder for maybe your net or anchor etc. Install was a piece of cake and a fun little project that my 4 your old twin boys helped with. Now they want a milk crate for their kayaks.I have a Perception Pescador Pilot 12 and the crate with two sets of rod holders will fit with the holders on the sides but not in the notch closest to the seat. Just past that point is good to go. Makes it handy to store something else a little closer and within reach.

Good rod holder w/ slits
Good rod holder w/ slits... only thing I did not like about this product is that when you screw in the middle rod holder with the smaller screws (included) they do not sit flush with the mounts so... if you want yours perfectly centered (like my OCD self) you'll have to clip of a bit of plastic on your crate (unless your crate has an opening where the screw pops out). Other than that, this is a great rod holder. I can use the holes on top of the mount for keep some tackle, my pliers, and a knife!

Requires drilling holes
From the description I thought it would just connect through the holes already in a standard milk crate, but to install, you have to drill holes in the crate. Easy enough but it's worth mentioning if you don't have the tools to do it. Otherwise it works perfectly and I have no complaints. The holders are just the right size to hold my visi-pole 360 light as well as any of my rods.

Excellent product. Easy to install.
Great product and so easy to install. I would suggest one improvement - a bungie cord to ensure the rods don't take a plunge if ( well, actually WHEN) one rolls the kayak. I drilled a small hole one inch below the slots, used 3/16" bungie and made a loop - keeps the rods securely in place when the time comes!

Junk Hardware
First two bolts bound up, having to break off as there was still about 1/2” of threads before tight, I had some quality 1 1/2” 10-24 stainless bolts and nylok nuts. That I used in place of what kit provided. Rod holders are good and would recommend, but provided were 4) 1 1/2” bolts and 2) shorter which were not long enough to go through thin AL, then poor quality, a 5 min job turned into a 1/2hr.

Easy to install on a milk crate for kayak fishing!
I love the fitment on my craftsman milk crate I bought long ago from sears. This was the perfect setup for my bonafide ss127 kayak!
