Koi Pond Monsta Pump Vacuum Filter System Cleaner

home owners that choose to service their own ponds will find this as useful as it is frustrating . As a professional Koi pond service provider I purchased this unit for a specific client who was interested in reducing the number of water changes... 1) the aluminum handle/stick is made of a very low grade soft aluminum. it will bend on you the first time you use it. after several uses the cam locking device may pull completely out of the tube rendering the handle useless - I use it like a handheld vacuum most of the time, I am in the pond to begin with the handle kind of got in the way the battery compartment seldom stays shut on its own - wrap it with some black tape 2) if you have a load of rotting leaves on the bottom of your pond - use a dip net. with this unit you will spend as much time unclogging it as you do removing debris, live string algae will turn to rope inside the pump chamber and stop the pump completely.3) the best part is its still better than every other pond vacuum I have ever used. YES I will buy another one. no I have not contacted customer service about the issues, this product is designed for a homeowner and I am using it in a commercial setting.

There is several problems 1. It is to bulky. 2 To many parts. 3 storage is a problem. 4 it isn't designed for heavy pond cleaning. 5. This isn't really designed for a pond unless your pond is all cement with no plants and rocks. 6. It way over priced for what it does. 7. I bought it because I wanted to reduce work of cleaning out my pond. That didn't happen. It created more work.

jams with small pebbles too easily and doesnt' pull larger leaves and debris in the pond. Not particulary powerful. It's inadquate for a 2500 gallon pond.

Went years trying to find the right vacuum this is the best ever.

Only buy this if your pond has no plants and a straight sloped concrete wall..not sure what the guy in the picture was doing...it won't work like that..

HAVE THREE SMALL PONDS HAD HARD TIME CLEANING. CLEANS WELL. LOSE LESS WATER THEN EMPTYING HAVE THE PONDS TO CLEAN

The design on this cleaner does not make sense. At the juncture where the tank connects to the discharge hose, it is angled in such a way that leaves constantly get trapped at that juncture. I had to constantly pull the unit out and dislodge the clog. It really should not have been angled like that. I used it probably 3 days throughout the summer and now no longer works. When it did work without clogging up, it did a great job. Very powerful. Bought new.

The vac works great because the motor is in the head ,the problem is that the 1 1/2 hose is so heavy with the water that it hard to move around, also the filter box falls over .

Do not buy this product. My wife purchased this product as a Xmas present and I unpacked it this weekend and should have stopped there. Poor book, limited assembly info but a picture on the box!! After an hour of guess work, I attempted to use the product which is heavy, unbalanced and of poor designed. Cheap plastic clips attempt to hold large pipes, emptying into the collector which was not designed on this planet. The pump, I believe is not powerful enough, so the vacuum pipe must be kept as close as possible to the ground or it stops pumping.After battling with only a few square feet of the pond bottom, my feet started getting wet and yes the collector bag had split. This is the once and only time I will use this Xmas present.
