They are small. the 5 inches includes the "spade" part of the spoon. I thoughtv5 inches just include the handle.Best for children or if you have small hands. But they are good for camping, vacation. Things that you need flatware for but don't want to take your good flatware.

We have a set of Disney silverware with a cutout of Mickey’s head in the handle. Over time the little teaspoons started disappearing. You can only get those as a set (or maybe individual ones on eBay) but these are a perfect dupe in terms of size. Really happy I found these.

I should have compared what 5.5" was to the spoons we were using before I purchased these. They are pretty small. Bigger than a child's spoon but not by much. The spoon does fall into our large cereal bowls when we set them down. They are nice quality and a good price so I would like to buy more that are only slightly larger.

These are plain spoons, sturdy and no problems in the dishwasher. Are they as nice as my fancy silverware where one costs as much as the whole set, of course not. But if these go down the garbage disposal or get abused by kids, I won't care.

Well, according to Mr. Jackson here, these spoons are a little short. They would make good spoons for kids. No sharp edges. Sturdy.I was hoping for something with a slightly larger bowl and a longer handle. Not my preferred spoon as an adult. Maybe they could update the description to indicate this clearly in some way. Perhaps depict it.

These were the perfect size. I was looking for 5.5 inch stainless steel teaspoons. They are slightly smaller than the most common type sold in the US.
