I bought this to lubricate an older tower fan that had stopped working due to the original grease turning to something sticky. I wanted to save the fan because it was one of the quietest tower fans I had seen. I did have to completely disassemble the fan. I could barely turn the motor with my fingers, so I disassembled the motor, removed all of the sticky goo, and lubricated the bearings with this stuff. So far it's working great, but time will tell how long this lubricant lasts. I don't know if the fan would have started operating if I just used this lubricant and didn't disassemble and clean the old crap out. The fan is difficult to disassemble and hopefully I won't have to do that for a long time.

This was recommended by a friend for my antique typewriter. It works really well.

It lasts longer than 3-in-1 oil, I will give it that. I have been using it in the small fan motors I've got running during the day to circulate air in my house better. Seems to be a good test, as it will gum this stuff up eventually as well. I am reasonably satisfied with the improved performance, but not at 3x the price and the hype in the description plus seemingly agreeing comments. It's possible a small accumulation of dust is making this stuff gum up, but it's just too hard to say for sure...

Completely eliminated all the squeaks in my elliptical exercise machine. The long needle dispenser allowed me to get to the hard to reach places.

I purchased this to silence a noisy motor bearing in a window fan. Having tried a few other oils, this is the real deal. Took apart the motor, put some drops of this in the bearing, and no more "rattling" sound. Good stuff!
