Finally, a bathroom scale that does what I need it to do!
When you're trying to lose weight, daily tracking of your progress can be a crucial factor, providing both knowledge of progress toward your goal, as well as daily motivation. But when you don't have an accurate scale, you can't have any certainty about your day-to-day progress. That is the problem I ran into over and over again, and the problem which has now been solved by my new Tanita HD-384 scale.I purchased and returned 5 different scales from 4 manufacturers. Two from Taylor, and one each from Homedics, Weight Watchers, and Conair. Every one of them would give unreliable readings from moment to moment. I would test them for consistency, and every single one would randomly give me a different reading when it was impossible for my weight to have fluctuated. Sometimes it would be a .2 or .4 lb difference. Other times, a pound or more. If they were inaccurate but at least consistently inacccurate (always off by the same amount), I probably would have lived with it. But the inaccuracy was never the same. I could step on and weigh 235, step off, and let the scale reset, and step back on and be 235.8, step off, let the scale reset, step back on and be 236.2, step off, step back on and be 234.6. Every one of those brands and models behaved the same. If all you're trying to do is get a reading that's in the ballpark, this would be OK. But for measuring day-to-day progress, it's not acceptable.I bought this Tanita scale after much research and frustration. It has performed flawlessly from the moment I took it out of the box. It gives me a weight that seems true to the trajectory of my weight loss progress (although I haven't compared results to the doctor's scale yet), and most importantly, it is consistent every time I step on. If it is inaccurate, at least it is consistently inaccurate so that I can track my day-to-day progress. But I think that a scale that performs this well is likely as accurate as you're going to get without graduating to some high-priced, manually calibrated model like they have in weight loss centers. The construction is robust. This scale is heavier-duty than any of the others I purchased and returned. It is attractive and was well packaged. 5 Stars, without hesitation.

The Best Scale That I Have Ever Owned!
I have had my fair share of scales throughout the years. Every scale I have had prior had really bad weighing issues. I would, of course, weigh myself more than once just to see whether or not the scale is accurate only to receive a weight that differed from the first. It would be a pound or two off, sometimes, even more than a five pound difference. So I went on the search for a brand new scale on the internet one that will give me the same weight every time and that is exactly what I found when I came pass the Tanita HD-384 Digital Weight Scale! This has to be bar none the best scale that I have ever owned! Period. It gives me the same weight every time I step on the scale. You can weigh yourself once, twice, even three times and get the same result time and time again which is what I was looking for which makes me confident on where I stand with my weight and my diet. There are a few things I love and dislike about this scale, but nothing too drastic that should steer any customers away.I love how big this scale is. The platform is perfect. You can fit both feet on the scale about shoulder length apart. Some other scales I have had to do balancing acts to just try and stand on them properly. There are no positions that you have to have you heels or toes. You simply step on, weigh yourself. and step off. I like how it displays three different weights even though you are only looking for a specific one. I like the bright blue background which easily can light up a dark bathroom. I also like that this scale uses three triple A batteries and they are easy to change (No screwdriver or anything like that needed). Also, turning on this scale is as easy as stepping on it with your toes and weighing yourself. Nothing else special needed. After having this scale for about three months I have had a few issues with it which is hard to explain, but I will try my best to. When you step on the scale you can stand there for a few seconds waiting for it to give you an approximate weight, but instead it will just go back to the blank screen with no result. It does not happen always just something I noticed. If you are also looking to weigh yourself more than once, well, you better have some time because this thing shows your weight for a extended period before it goes back to the blank screen. Those are my only issues.Overall, I believe $75.00 is worth the money for a very accurate, the most accessible, and easy to use, scale on the market. I love this scale and I am sure with due time you will love this scale too. You will never look at a Weight Watchers scale or buy any other from a retail market again. This is the magnum opus of weight scales! It does not get much better than this.

Accurate and refreshingly simple
I love this scale. You step on it and your weight is displayed in seconds. No bluetooth, no WiFi, no user profiles and no apps. It just works without any pointless nonsense.
