Opteka DBC-LPE8 dual battery charger
This Opteka DBC-LPE8 AC/DC dual battery charger works well. It has 4 LED lights to indicate both charging status and the batteries level of charge. A nice feature. They'll charge 1 or 2 batteries at a time and you can use AC or DC for your power supply. Not sure of the charging rate, but batteries last longer with a slow charge rate. Be aware when purchasing any charger that fast charges does not equate to long battery life. It has auto shut off when charge is complete, which is a very desirable quality. All considerations make this a good dual battery charger that you can use to charge EOM Canon LP-E8 as well as after market LP-E8 batteries. A very economically priced charger.

Excellent charger!
I currently own 3 LP-E8 batteries, one is OEM and two are aftermarket. I charge the OEM battery with its OEM charger and I charge the two aftermarket batteries with this Opteka DVC-LPE8 Dual Battery charger. I like doing long exposure photography and it takes up a lot of juice. With this charger, I save so much time because I can now charge 3 batteries at once. I also tried charging the OEM battery with this charger and it works just fine. What's nice about this package is that it comes with a car charger. Now I don't have to worry about running out of batteries when I'm on some family trip because I can just plug it into my car and recharge it. I would recommend this to all LP-E8 users who own at least two batteries. Cheers!p.s. it took 2hr 30min to recharge both aftermarket batteries.EDIT: I'm writing this on 1/23/2013. I have this charger for a bit over a year now and what I'm noticing is that sometimes when the battery is fully charged, the charger only shows 3 red dots. I would have to press the battery down for it to show 4 dots, which is an indication of fully charged. It's still working fine otherwise.

Suprised - Works great - Fast
Surprised thinking the sometimes get what pay for was coming, bought for a trip using in car and hotel. Using with batteries for Canon T3i which, did not want to miss anything by dead batteries. Worked great in car, hotel rooms, and still using today at home. Much more convenient than charging individually, lights help know what stage and if done, seems very quick(not really much to compare to), they are definitely ready by time needed again.

Great charger!
I lost my charger that came with my camera, and got this one as a replacement. It charges two batteries faster than the stock charger charges 1 battery, so I am very happy with it so far. I cannot find anything wrong with it so far, and it seems to be sturdy enough to last for a while.

Worked great on OEM and aftermarket batteries
Charged OEM Canon and aftermarket batteries just fine. Having more than 1 LED, as opposed to the cryptic Canon charger was nice! Being a bit color-challenged, in bright light I could not often tell what state the factory charger was in.. charging or charged. The Opteka has multiple LEDS and flash to indicate charge state.

contact points break!
I wish it wasn't the case. I really liked this dual charger. The weak point is the three (six total) metal contact points in the removable battery "shoes". The middle contact point broke, the small plastic post holding the metal contact is the culprit. It's rattling around inside. I was able to confirm by opening the unit up by unscrewing 4 tiny screws (two are under the rubber feet stickers). I'm sure this problem will arise if you use it long enough. Be warned. I've read others with the exact same issue. Wish it was still working... Wish I could fix it but the circuit board is hard fastened to the plastic frame inside.

A must have
This is a great rapid charger, every now and then the left charging station fails to recognize a battery has been placed in but its not much of an issue.

Good buy
I purchased this in 2012 and charged my T3I/600D batteries just yesterday. Good buy.
