Xantrex808-0232-01 Battery Temperature Sensor for XC Chrgr

The one I got was 32 feet. If you have any questions; just plug it in and see it you get a temperature read. Do know the temp in the room. These should be centered on the side of the battery. If you have a removable top on you battery revealing cells; then remove and stick to an internal cell in the middle. This has sticky tape; but put a good gorilla tape over it; so it does not fall off later. Most batteries have warranties that are void without a probe; though they may not tell you such (a must in summers). This is cheap insurance. Good 24 gage wire to work with and plenty of it. You could likely make it longer if needed without problems on this type of probe; but it will do for 99 percent of customers. Was told I needed one specific for the xw inverter/controller; but when I plugged it in and scrolled thru the SCP; I saw an accurate temp; so all worked out well.

Battery Temperature sensor is an worthy extension for the Xantrex charger. It is easy to install, has plenty of sensor cord to ensure an easy routing to charger and displays battery temperature accurately as it is charged. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone updating the manner in which they monitor their batteries. It is only usable on the Xantrex Charger with remote sensor attached.

Does what it's supposed to do--report battery temperature my C35 charge controller. My TC2 had a very long cable, which wasn't needed in the battery cabinet. Cutting it and installing a new RJ11 connector was easy and worth the little time it took.

To properly maintain your batteries this is an additional necessity.
