Failed on first use -- fractured
A Mercedes-Benz with a 12 mm wheel lug bolt (not a stud with a lug nut) had the bolt fail just below the head, and above the "cone" on the lug bolt. Evidently, the lug bolt had seized to the hub in a blind hole. Commercial (not consumer) penetrant was applied and re-applied over the course of a day. No heat was used. The 12 mm external extractor tool "bit" the broken bolt. Upon applying torque by hand (not an impact) and without a "cheater", the extractor tool mechanically fractured. If there is a safe working torque for these items, this torque specification should be given. Otherwise, one simply applies as much torque as muscle power permits. With a torque specification, one uses a torque wrench set to the maximum working torque. Thus, this tool is not acceptable for professional use. Fortunately, it does have a lifetime guarantee and Amazon did offer a full refund.

The 3/8" drive is fine for small bolts and nuts but ...
I only used the 19 mm ( 3/4 in ) extractor to try to remove a lug nut. The lug nuts on the car were "wrapped in a metal shell from the factory, and it was the shell that was stripped. The 19 mm extractor ripped through the "wrap" and allowed me to peel it back with a screwdriver and pliers. Once the shell was off, I tapped a regular 17 mm socket on the lug nut and then used my impact wrench to back the lug off. I didn't try the extractor on the exposed lug nut because I knew that tapping a slightly smaller socket on would probably work with no risk. Note that these will need a 3/8" drive unless you use a large 1/2" drive impact socket over the extractor. If you use a cheesy 3/8" wrench or extension, you may shear the 3/8" drive. For small bolts, 3/8" drive is fine. For 19 and over, get a 1/2" drive set or use a 1/2" socket over the extractor.

Ok for regular nut sizes, NOT lug nuts!
Its a decent nut extraction tool for nuts about the size of the tool. But I only gave 2 stars because its not really a good "lug nut" removal tool since it needs to be a "deep well" socket in order to be more effective. These sockets are NOT deep well.Used it for my 2005 Ford focus lug nuts and it only ended up stripping or shearing the top head of the stuck lug nut.

Mixed feelings on this...
Been wanting to get a set of extractors but wasn't sure which one to get. Tired of snapping and drilling bolts out. Watching a ChrisFix video that mentioned this item ...and price was reasonable ...so bought it.Haven't had a chance to use them yet ...but overall, well packaged. They look sturdy and being cr-mo should be durable. Time will tell. The mixed feelings (and lowered stars) come into play in that none of the extractors have a size printed, etched, or engraved on them ...though the brand name is printed on each. But looking at their own product images shows a size engraved on one of them. Also, if you take a close top down view on them in the pictures that I included, you will see that multiple pairs of them have the same exterior size to them. But looking at the interior on one of the pairs has a thinner wall than the other ...so you can figure out by looking closely which is the larger of the two.Granted if the head of a bolt (or nut) is heavily worn or rusted out you would probably be sampling the different extractors to find the closest match anyways. In any case I would see myself fumbling (and wasting time) between them if I don't consistently put them back in their labeled spots prior to getting the next one.Plan to use them on some upcoming car maintenance and if functionally they work well without much issue, I will update this review (and stars).

Great Tool
Tool worked great! Sam'sClub overtightned the lugnuts on my Ford Focus and completely rounded two of the nuts. I didn't know of this until I took the tires in to be rotated and they told me that couldn't get the nuts off BUT they were that installed the new tires a few months earlier and they had never been messed with since, however, they wouldn't accept any responsiblity.Anyway, the tool worked great. What I found is you need to tap the socket with a hammer and then when starting to use the wrench, just try turning a bit and then hammer it some more to get the socket to bite in before applying real force. I needed to use the largest socket and do wish the larger ones used a 1/2" ratchet over the smaller and weaker 3/8" but it did work along with a cheater bar over my 3/8" ratchet. No more Sam'sClub for me.

Saved my behind ... BIGTIME
I hardly ever write reviews, but this product seriously saved my tail in a big way. I was trying to remove a rounded nut that was completely rusted and seized to the bolt (I was an idiot and tried to use a 12-point socket initially, which led to it becoming rounded). I got this set of nut extractors as a last resort. The first and second time I put the extractor socket on, I must not have put it on enough because it actually rounded the nut even more. Fortunately, I tried again and *really* hammered the extractor onto (what was left of) the nut. That feeling of that nut breaking loose was so satisfying. I actually have it hanging on my tool chest as a trophy. If you are in a similar situation and need a nut/bolt removed, give this product a try!

Built great, but missing sizes
The sockets in this set were well made and I have no complaint there. My only issue is the absence of specific sockets within the claimed range of the set. Had to return this set and find another which had the socket size I was looking for. The other set was cheaper and more complete than this one.
