CLEC Magnetic Phone Holder Mount Fit for Toyota Highlander 2019-2018,360 Adjustable Fit for Highlander Accessories with iPhone,Samsung,4-7 Inches Smartphones

There's two pieces to this product. There's the custom plastic mount that attaches to the dash and there's the magnetic phone attachment. I bought this for the custom plastic mount that attaches to the dash. Then, I attached a different phone mount to the connector and it works like a charm. I bought my first one 2 years ago and had to buy a new one after piece that attaches the dash mount to the phone mount broke. Likely from several adjustments without loosening the ball joint on the phone mount. I happily bought another one because I don't believe there's a better mount for the 2018 Highlander.

Installation would have been great with a few simple instructions. Had no clue how to install. Phone falls off sometimes when driving. Not super happy.

After trying many different types of cell phone holders - i thought I'd try this one and I love the sleekness of this design. I put this to the left of the right driver's vent. I made sure to put the phone magnet on the bottom of my phone so that it doesn't block my AC vent. I'm glad they included the spacer tool; it was a huge help. Installation was very quick (make sure you read other comments for this item).

I bought a clec mount for my '18 Civic Type R and it is great. I was glad they made one for the Highlander as well. It looks OEM. Once its installed it's very secure. It comes with a plastic trim pry tool that you'll need to lift up the plastic piece next to the digital clock in order to wedge the back part underneath. The front part wedges above the ac vent.Update: 6/27/21. One of two thin plastic pieces on the bottom broke. It still works okay but it's a little wobbly. That area needs to be made stronger. I'm looking to swap out to a different one, maybe generic phone mount.

So my review is a little biased as I didn't have to use the magnet attachment that came with the unit. My wife and I have been using these Mpow CD phone mounts for years but we got a new car and I wanted something that looked oem. Turns out that the ball from the Clac system fits just right into the phone clamp piece from the Mpow unit. A perfect hybrid is born!!!While the Clac unit looks great it feels like the plastic is going to fall apart in your hands. While there were no instructions, it's pretty obvious what you need to do when you look at photos of where the unit goes.For those looking for an oem approach but hate the idea of using magnets (which apparently destroy your ability to wirelessly charge) try buying the mpow unit too. I think they're pretty cheap if I remember correctly.

This phone holder works exactly like the description. It’s made of semi thin plastic but works very well. I use my iPhone 11 with no problems. Very convenient location in my Toyota. Buy the attachment if you haven’t already.

Was easier to install than I thought it would be. After about 6 weeks of use, it still easily holds phone with the circular plate stuck on back of the phone case. Not sure if it would work reliably with plate inside of case. Holds fine with charge cord plugged in. Can orient phone vertically or horizontally. Can set viewing angle with swivel ball, but cannot adjust quickly without loosening the ball clamp; you'll be happy to leave it in one position. Phone is placed in the best compromise location that is within reach, but not blocking too much.

This was a piece of junk! Missing a part and came from China. Buyer beware. I should have known better 😡

Cheap cheap material. Thin, easily breakable plastic. Does not support the weight of an IPhone.
