Subtle flickering from these lights.
It's difficult to get a bright, dimmable, 6000k E12 light bulb on Amazon, and these do dim and fit all those characteristics, but they also flicker at every brightness. While it's not visible to the eye normally, if you wave your hand in front of the light you'll see a similar effect to if you ever waved your hand in front of a CRT TV. This means that if you shoot video in a room lit with these bulbs, you'll experience flickering or banding in your video, something avoided with other similarly priced lights. I think I'm going to replace these with an E12 to E26 adapter and just use normal LEDs.These are probably 5 stars for the average user, but as they have a design flaw that affects me, I take off two stars because I'm going to replace these bulbs.

They are LEDs
They are definitely LEDs. The light output looks about as much as a 40 watt daylight bulb, not 100w.As such, definitely overpriced.

Flicker to a degree..
They flicker, not at all dimmer positions, but pretty annoying.. Going to send them back..

Pretty good
We needed brighter light in the living room. The ceiling fan is the only source of light for a large room but has a tan like glaze so kills the amount of light. These bulbs did the trick. Super bright. The only complaint is that they maintain a very low glow even with the switch turned off. Could be because they are so efficient than any type of current creates a glow. Not a big deal but something to consider.

Nice build, however
These appear to be well made. While they may be rated at 100 watts they a very small and if you are using them in a fan, their size may may comprise the light if the fan fixture blocks a short bulb.

Flicker when off
I put them in, they dimmed OK and were bright but took them out because I did not like the fact they were flickering when the power was turned off. They were doing it long after they had been turned off. I would return them but given the price, I will keep them plus I did not keep the packaging.

Problems with Lutron Caseta dimmer
I put these in our dining room chandelier, and they work, and they do dim reasonably, but with a Lutron Caseta smart dimmer the minimum setting is not all the way "off."We'll probably just live with it - it just means that the light is now also a night light when it isn't otherwise in use.

Better than what I had
The two 40-watt incandescent (filament) bulbs that came in a ceiling fan were too dark for the room, so I bought these to provide more light. Yes, these were certainly brighter than the bulbs I originally had, but I have trouble believing that they provide as much light as 100-watt bulbs. They fit the small E-12 socket just fine. The 6000K color temperature I picked was a little harsh for the room and gives everything a slightly bluish color (completely my fault for making the choice, not the manufacturer's). Also, they are dimmable, but not smoothly through a range of brightness ... instead it kind of stepped down to levels. Also, these were not "Amazon Prime", so they took a relatively long time to come from China to the US, then to get mailed to my house. I think it was a two-week wait, but I don't recall exactly. On the PRO side, they seem to be good quality, they don't produce a lot of heat, they will consume less energy while producing more light than incandescent bulbs, and they should last a lifetime. Overall, I am happy with the purchase.
