Good small dosimeter. SOEKS knows their business
Portable and easy to operate. Instructions are short, concise and to the point. Nothing unclear or complicated. Dosimeter is made in Russia, which, I think is a plus. Compared to Chinese-made models, it works well. Deliveres accurate and consistent readings so far. Portable and light - great advantage!

Convenient
I was looking for some SHTF gear and stumbled on this. I don't have the gear to properly test it, but thankfully a few independent YouTubers have. They gave it good reviews. What I can comment in is everything else. It is small and portable. It is easy to use. I can put this in a bug out bag without compromising on space. It can be used as a dosage dosimeter to keep track of total radiation exposure. Swapping between the various modes is just a few buttons. The manual is small, but easy to read. The English translations are clear. The batteries it uses are cheap and carried by Amazon, though hard to find at a local store. For SHTF purposes, you need to order a pack of replacement batteries in advance; they are not something you would want to scrounge or barter for in a SHTF situation.

Great little dosimeter
This is a nice little detector. I picked it up after my cat got radio-iodine treatment for hyperthyroidism so I could more accurately determine when it would be safe to let her sleep on the bed again. I don’t have a known quantity of radioactive material to test the accuracy but from my rough calculations based on the number of mCi they said she had in her when I picked her up, it seems to be pretty close. I’ll trust this dosimeter over my math.Beyond all that the device is compact, easy to use, and a good reminder that there is a reason to keep one’s distance from one’s radioactive cat for a bit.The one negative I’d give it is the decimal point is hard to see on the screen as it is right along the bottom of the readout and often in shadow. The display is not lit so if the lighting isn’t strong it gets lost down there. It’s only a 3 digit display so that decimal can jump around and one really wants to know the difference between 5.55 uSv and 55.5 uSv.

Product doesn’t last long and Company never responds to email when asking for a warranty replacement
Last year I purchased SOEKS 112 pocket Geiger counter. Initially, it worked fine but the other day when I went to use it, I noticed that the red light never comes on and the unit never beeps when it hits the limit set-point. I validated that both the H3 and H4 settings are set to a value of 1. I also validated that H2 is set at 0.20. I also validated that the unit is operating in the correct range with another Geiger counter, and the values it’s displaying on the screen is correct, but the unit never warns me when it passes the setpoint. Even when I sent the H2 setting to zero, no blinking or audible beeps take place when the unit senses particles.Am I eligible for a replacement unit? Have no idea the company never responds to my email.

Not bad, great form factor, still looking for something better.
This has a great form factor, fits in with my travel pens. The screen is tiny, as it has to be, making it a bit of a challenge for older eyes. The readings are consistent and plausible. It is not a bad device. But it wasn't there when I needed it. I think the power button was pressed in my bag, draining the batteries. I didn't have any spare LR44s around. So, it does what it says, but I am still looking for something with a larger display, and it would be nice to have the Geiger count clicks available.

Worked well
I bout this for after I had RAI for graves/thyroid cancer to see when I would be safe to be around my family again. If measured against an inanimate object or another person it would read between .5 and 1.5. When held against me after RAI it would shoot up to almost 500! I was considered safe when I measured under 30. It was fascinating to watch my levels go down every day. Very useful and lifted my anxiety when it was time to come out of quarantine.

Works as advertised
This review is for the "SOEKS 112 Compact Digital Geiger Counter" purchased in late 2019 for $129 USA.Right out of the box it read background levels exactly, and when tested with a known source it accurately measured the output in less than a minute. It feels well built, and is approximately the size of a fat sharpie. The screen is a bit dim, but I can read it without issue.Instructions are in Russian, but it's so easy to use it doesn't matter. Hold power button to turn on/off. Press other button to switch from uSv to mSv. That's it.I can't imagine a better product at this price point.

Hard to figure out
I haven’t spend a lot of time using it and not sure what buttons to push. Not accurate enough I think.

Stay safe with this geiger counter.
I wanted one of these to test my old watch collection for radium dials, luckily no high readings, used a new gas mantle I've had in the shed for years to test that it works and did get a high reading in fact it set off an alarm so it does definitely work.

Well made, quality product!
Firmly made. Does not look fancy, but very compact, works great and looks like it will last forever. Not a colorful and shiny, which would work only few day if at all would, 'Made in Chine' junk.
