Quality Park 9 x 12 Clasp Envelopes with Deeply Gummed Flaps, Great for Filing, Storing or Mailing Documents, 28 lb Brown Kraft, 250 per Box (37590)

EDIT: I am leaving my review as I wrote it, but I think I was a bit harsh so I upped the stars from 1 to 3. These envelopes are probably perfectly usable for most people... but what they say about the glue is completely untrue, these envelopes have less glue than any others I have ever seen (I go through over a thousand envelopes each month, I've seen many brands/models). See my photo. However... I was able to remedy my situation by using "envelope moisteners" which are basically glue sticks made specifically for sealing envelopes.These envelopes are junk, even compared to other 9x12 envelopes made by this same company (quality park). The title of this listing specifically says "DEEP GUM" and shows flaps with gum on over half of the flap. But what do you actually get? Less than half of the flap has glue!I bought these because the other 9x12 I had previously purchased from "quality park" had really weak glue. I saw this listing saying "deep gum" and "full gummed flap" and thought "Okay, so THAT is what I need! They have envelopes meant to have good glue! I'll buy that!" WRONG! These are even worse, with even less gum than the ones that really didn't mention much about the gum at al!Do not buy these if you need a strong gluing envelope, these ones will have the corners of the flap completely unglued and able to bend back! If you want cheap envelopes that won't go through much use/abuse and quality is no matter, THEN these might be a great value for you. I understand not everyone needs a strong robust envelope... but I DO need that... why are these pretending to be that when they clearly are not? Very frustrating to be so intentionally misleading. Actually here I will demonstrate with photos, look how stingy these envelopes are with the glue! (in the picture the clasp envelope is the one from this listing)

I am a seller on Ebay and I use this size envelope to ship almost 90% of everything I sell. I can put so many things in these envelopes and they hold up so well. For example I put clothing, books, martial arts belts, etc in these. If I have something longer I double up and put one side the other upside down. Voila! The most important thing I've noticed is that I can ship ceramic ornaments in these and 99.9% of the time they make it to their destination intact. They are enclosed in plastic (pictured below) which I put in the envelope then fold over for double protection, but let's be real, it is just an envelope. In the 10 yrs that I have been doing this I have only had about eight that have broken. I will use these over and over and over. These are a very reasonable alternative to other methods of shipping. Very impressed.

I ordered a box of clasp envelope previous to this one and it is slightly different product. I like the previous envelope better because of the longer flap. I use these envelopes to mail out clothes so a longer flap allow a little bit more leaway for thicker items. This is okay but I prefer the previous product rather than this one. I don't use the gum adhesion so I don't know how well they stick.

These are the best price we could find for these large envelopes anywhere and they are high quality as well-made of thick paper with steel hasps and adhesive besides. Would definitely recommend and have already bought several times.

I’m never buying from Staples againThis package was 1/4 of the price that it wasn’t Staples and it’s the exact same product. I don’t know why I would ever go back to the regular stores when I can have such an easy experience and getting such great value.

update: not happy to see that in the month since i bought these, it’s now 10.00$ more!! ridiculous.These are amazing for the price. I usually close with the clasp and seal with tape anyways, so I cant attest to the "glue" problem most other buyers have stated. It's great for mailing off - and forgetting about! Would purchase again.
