Great product
I can not believe they I have had a red eared slider for 34 years and just found out about the jumbo pellets! Zeke loves them! Started eating them with no issues. He is able to fit the whole pellet in his mouth so there are no crumbs or anything dirtying up his tank.

(((My snapping turtle loves this stuff)))
Ok, very seldom do I get to give a full 5 star review on turtle food. But this is one of those times. Now, this food does have an issue that some may strike a star out for, but you gotta be realistic about stuff. Now I bought this food to test out on my young alligator snapping turtle. She loves it. So let’s break down things you should know. First off, this is a very large bottle of turtle food. Don’t let that picture confuse you. It’s big. The sticks of food themselves are large also. They are about 1 inch in length and atleast 1/3 of an inch thick. One thing to note here is that these are labeled as floating, and they do in fact float. Unlike some other foods, these still continue to float even if they are broken into smaller pieces. So if these are too large for your turtle, then you can break them into smaller pieces. Now there is some complaints about these breaking apart while your turtle is eating them and causing those crumbs to drop all over and dusting up your water. That is unfortunately true, but if you are careful about how you feed your turtle, you can try to keep it from being too bad. Like making sure the pieces you feed your turtle, are small enough to fit in your turtles mouth easily. If they have to keep snapping down on larger pieces to get them small enough to swallow, then it will cause a worse mess in your tank. So smaller pieces are your best bet. And trying to feed them one or two pieces at a time and waiting for them to swallow them before dropping more into the tank. Don’t just toss a bunch in a walk away. Take your time and atleast act like you care about your turtle. Listen, I have accumulated 27 different types and brands of turtle food I feed to my snapper. I don’t just give her one food. I like to mix it up. Give her a nice selection. Surprise her with new foods all the time. She has grew from a one inch shell, to having over a six inch shell in just over 9 months. So finding a deal on this food is great. Look at the price. For 10 dollars you are getting a massive bottle of turtle food that could last you for a while. Not to mention, some of the other bottles I have bought from other brands, have costed almost this much for a tiny little fish food size bottle. So yes, I highly recommend you trying out this food if you have a growing turtle that’s a bit costly trying to buy food for. It’s a great deal. And it’s made by the Tetra brand. They have been a trusted name in pet foods for many years. I know this has been a long winded review, I just want people to know what they are getting and what to expect. I do hope this info helps some of you out trying to figure out if this is what you should get.

Great all around diet
Got our painted turtle as a baby (silver dollar size) half dead from the neighbor who bought it somewhere who shouldn't have been selling it that small as people don't know how to care for them. Nursed it back to health & started a steady diet of this food. First the Reptomin mini, then the regular & now the jumbo for the rest of her life. It's really hard to find LARGE size aquatic turtle food from anyone but you won't need to find another as this one works incredibly well. Our turtle is now 14 years old and although I supplement with freeze dried krill which is also hard to find in a large size now (see Tetra Jumbo Krill) & a few other things this is and has been the primary daily diet for her entire life.

Our Turtle Prefers Regular Size Pellets
We bought these for our turtle. He normally eats the regular size pellets, but I figured I would let him try these larger ones since he eats so much at each feeding. He didn't seem to like the larger ones as well and when he would bite into them it would make a bigger mess in his tank (whereas, he eats the whole pellet of the smaller ones).Probably preference of your turtle.

Fish Like It Too!
This is one of the best turtle foods on the market. I have one turtle that's a very picky eater. Usually, it only eats fresh fish, but it seems to like Reptomin well enough. I use it as a supplement for when live fish are unavailable. I've watched some of my turtles grow from a couple inches to dinner plate size. I feed them a varied diet of live fish, earthworms, fruit, etc., and Reptomin is pretty much the only dry food that they will eat. Keep in mind that turtles, much like people, develop preferences, and they can become spoiled when they know you're feeding them regularly. I have a baby snake-neck turtle that used to eat Reptomin, until I introduced it to minnows. Now it only likes live fish or pieces of fresh meat. It won't even consider crickets or earthworms anymore, let alone dry turtle food. Still, Reptomin is a good choice when live food is unavailable.
